Introduction:
Gene regulation is a mechanism which induce or repress the expression of a gene. In multicellular organisms, genes regulate in which cell type a particular gene should be expressed and in which developmental stage. So, gene regulation helps for cell differentiation and to organisms to proceed through developmental stages.
A gene family is a set of similar genes generated by the duplication of a single original gene. Example for such gene family is human hemoglobin subunits.
