Summary Introduction
To determine:
The structure and function of cartilage and bone tissue.
Introduction:
Cartilage and bone are specialized forms of connective tissue. Bone tissue is a mineralized tissue, which is of two types, cortical bone and cancellous bone. Other types of tissue found in bones include bone marrow, endosteum, periosteum, nerves, blood vessels and cartilage. Cartilage is an important structural component of the body. It is a firm tissue but is softer and much more flexible than bone.
