Concept Introduction: The cost of waiting is the cost incurred when the consumer is waiting for the service. If a system makes the customer to wait for a longer duration, it is more likely that a consumer will choose a competitor to obtain the required service. The loss of a consumer is the cost of waiting by the consumer. It also represents the cost incurred to provide service because of long waiting lines.
