Question

You’re on the moon, skipping around, and your radio breaks. What would be the best way to communicate this problem to your friend, who is also skipping around on the moon: yelling or flashing a light? Why?

Expert Solution
Step 1

Longitudnal wave is a form of wave which propagates and needs a medium to transfer its energy ex-sound wave.

Transverse wave is a form of wave which propagates and there is no need of medium so it may propagates in vaccum ex-light,

And as that is known, in Moon the atmosphere is not available to provide medium for sound wave so it is unable to propagates, hence yelling is useless.
