Mouth changed the most in Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie because he went from talkative and being fearless, to being suicidal by the end. Mouth changed the most because at the starting of the book Mouth was the most talkative person their was. That was originally how they introduced Mouth into the book, as this bubbly talkative kid who loved to say the first thing that had popped into his head. "Hey Scottie, watcha think? High school. It’s the big time. Were in high school man, that's so cool. Man, that is so so so cool. That is soooooo cool"(Lubar 8). This quote supports my answer because it shows how excited Mouth was to start the school year. He was bouncing off of the walls about how excited he was that he was in high school with his friends …show more content…
There was a dance at the highschool and Scott decided to go with Lee. When Mouth decided that he wanted to go to the dance he figured that he would have to have a date. So he started to ask girls and they sadly had all declined him. He asked out every single girl in the grade. He kept track just to make sure that he asked everyone. After all of the girls that he has asked none of them said yes. “Mouth was there, too. He got turned down by at least seven girls in the brief time I was watching. I had to give him credit for being resilient. Nothing seemed to bother him. If I asked a girl to dance and she said no, I’d want to crawl into a hole and die”(Lubar 184). The day after the dance had occured Mouth went over to Scott’s house so he would return Scott’s money that he had given to him. “But he didn't ask to come in. “Here,” he said, holding out a couple of dollars. I figured he would spend another fifteen minutes describing the whole event, but he just said “Thanks” and left”(Lubar 195). Scott did not think anything of it. Scott’s thoughts was just that he was going to give him his money and he did not think about all that much the way he was acting. Scott, if anything, was thankful that Mouth came here and left with no complications. Mouth changed the most because if Mouth had have given that money back, and was …show more content…
They believe this because of Scott Hudson’s personality at the starting of the book was that he was almost anxious and panicked to start high school. But towards the end he knew exactly what he was doing and he made friends that he would have not usually make friends with. Also they might have thought that Scott changed the most because his choice in who he wanted to dance with changed from Julia to Lee. Even though he still liked Julia he went to the dance with Lee. He had the choice to go with Julia because she ended up liking Scott, but he still decided to go to the dance with Lee. However, they are wrong because Scott Hudson never really changed that much. The only thing that changed about Scott was who he had a crush on and whether he was anxious about high school or not. In addition, Scott had major personality changes. Therefore, Mouth has changed the most in Sleeping Freshmen Never

Wesley changed the most in Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie because he switched from being mean to a nice guy, and
Wesley Cobble had always been a bully, that is, until he became friends with Scott. Wesley had been known as a bully throughout high school. But that all changed when one morning, Wesley picked up Scott (the main character) and brought him to school, it was as if Wesley had a change in heart and wanted to be friends with Scott. Wesley wasn’t usually the type to make friends, but for some reason, he became friends with Scott, which changed him and benefited him. Wesley changed the most in Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie because he went from being a bully to Scott to being his friend, and he learned to stop stealing.
In the second chapter, Scott during his first day learns he’s going to have a baby brother. While this can go along with the first day being important, this is still an important event on

“Listen. Honey. Eugene doesn’t want to study with you.” She looked down at her shoes. I continued, knowing that she processed my words: “He is a smart boy. He doesn’t need help. You understand me? I am truly sorry if he told you you could come over. He cannot study with you It 's nothing personal. You understand? We won’t be in this place much longer, no need for him to get close to people--it’ll just make it harder for him later.” The girl slowly nodded her head and turned away. “Run back home now.” She stood there, unmoving.

I started to believe that the narrator has the mind of a man; perhaps she yearns for the chase. She searches for boys who are more than willing to be a quickie and she uses them for a good time. When she gets what she wants it's to late and the emotional damage has already been done. Our narrator reverts back to her female role and relies on emotions rather than logic; it is apparent that in having these quick relationships she is only hurting herself.
Imagine walking uptown on a Friday, and you see a stumbling freshman girl, distraught, makeup everywhere, eyes bloodshot, crying, and she is muttering over and over, “He used me, I said no. He used me I said no.” How do you

Sammy asserts his individuality when he quits. He knows that Lengel has every right, according to the standards of his time, to speak to the girls as he does. But by standing up for the girls, Sammy questions those standards and asserts that there is a higher standard of decency that says one should not embarrass others. In deciding which rules of conduct are more important, he asserts his individuality, unlike the girls who slink away because they know they have violated the rules of conduct.
Give a one-sentence definition of internal validity. As an example, I’m going to conduct a study that deprives college students of sleep, to prove their grades will go down as a result. If I found a link between reduced sleep and reduced grades, what is an internally valid conclusion about the results of this study (be specific)?
Mouth changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because in the beginning of this book he was just a Freshman, full of life, but in the end of the novel he tried to kill himself. “He got called Loud Mouth the moment we started school. It was shortened to Mouth after that” (Lubar 8). This quote proves that Mouth did talk a lot, and how it was easy for people to get annoyed, and to start developing inadequate thoughts about him. Mouth was always talkative at the bus stop, at school, and pretty much anywhere else and it was sad to see how things people said about Mouth affected him so much to the point he tried to take his own life.
