1. At CoBA, we place great importance in values, initiative and professionalism. Describe one example of how you have demonstrated these qualities.
C.S. Lewis defined integrity as doing the right thing when no one is looking. That has been one of my greatest lessons as a professional and as a small business owner.
Operating a small side business frequently present moments in which I am able to take advantage of my customers. I understand that the items I am creating can be made with lower quality products, or the corners that can be cut, however, that is not a good representation of my professionalism. I appreciate good business sense and savvy purchasing, however I do no support creating something that is not of quality and

Leading this team was an incredible opportunity that has shaped my entire approach to fostering community collaboration. I continue to co-chair the advisory board of this grant, and since I have supported additional grant advisory boards, coalition meetings, and integrated resource teams to serve our local community and ensure that we are investing our dollars and time to right areas. The most important lesson I have learned when leading a team and building partnerships, is that the focus must be on collaboration not coordination.
4. Describe an experience when you felt most effective as a leader.
As a Director, I am able to interact daily with a variety of amazing personalities and very individual work styles. As a leader, I feel it is my job to understand those styles and how they compliment not only one another, but the organization as a whole. I also feel that it is my duty to always look for ways to recognize staff and offer advancement when available; rewarding staff for the commitment they make to the families they serve and to the organization.
Recently an opportunity for advancement within the organization became available. Promoting from within is always priority and I had already identified a staff member as being over qualified for her
Since this paper deals with the idea of integrity in leadership, it is useful to start this paper defining integrity. Webster's dictionary defines integrity as "uncompromising adherence to a code of moral, artistic or other values; utter sincerity, honesty and candor, avoidance of deception, expediency, or shallowness of any kind" Let us exam this definition a bit deeper. The first part of the definition talks of uncompromising adherence. This means that one would always choose the "right" path, regardless of what seems to be more appealing. Take the example of when and when not to lie. A person of integrity would always tell the truth regardless of the situation. The second part of the definition deals with what
Integrity is having a standard of morals and ethics, and living by them. It is a willingness and ability to do the right thing even when it is hard. The story To Kill a Mockingbird is filled with integrity. For example, many of the people in Maycomb share a prejudiced sense of integrity when it comes to its racist views. However, it is Atticus Finch’s integrity throughout the novel that really embodies the idea of moral and ethical principles. He puts into action every moral idea that he supports. Atticus is a role model to not only his children, but to the whole town of Maycomb, and his integrity is a great part of what makes him such a good example. Integrity
Integrity is having a strong moral compass and knowing where your place in the world is.
A person of integrity does exactly what he says and says exactly what he means. There is no conflict between his thoughts and actions. His actions are consistent with the values he professes. According to Dr. William Manninger, A building without integrity may receive structural damage, or even collapse, in a storm. Similarly, people without integrity are blown about by the winds of misfortune and destroyed by catastrophes, for they lack the firmness, solidity, and strength of character to weather any storm. This means that integrity is one of the six essential qualities that are the key to success.
A person with integrity is humble – He is more concerned about what is right than about being right. He recognizes principle and puts it ahead of self.
Integrity can be defined as "an uncompromising adherence to a code of moral, artistic or other values, utter sincerity, honesty and candor, avoidance of deception, expediency, artificiality or shallowness of any kind" (Webster's 3rd New International Dictionary 1174). In simpler words this means to maintain high standards and follow the rules, even when no one is watching. Integrity is very important in our everyday life if we wish to be good people. The sad thing is that if you ask some people what integrity means to them they will probably tell you that it doesn't mean much and some may not even know what integrity is. Certain people feel that in order to get ahead in life they need to break certain rules. It is
Integrity is a core character of being a leader. Employees want to know that their leader is worthy of their trust. A leader with integrity will likely be highly respected and withstand the test of time. As described by Dees (2013), “integrity on a higher plane is the seamless integration of faith, family, and profession
We are quick to hold people to a certain standards; however we must hold ourselves to these same standards. Most people have high expectations of others, but we must understand the visual aspect of integrity. This means a lot because it affects the way we are seen by others. In order to have a prosperous life must think in the viewpoints of everyone involved. For example, in our work, we need to understand our boss viewpoints and expectations, our children and even in our marriages. Thinking within the viewpoints will help you to function successfully. (Paul, & Elder, 2012).
15. The ethical concept of integrity means that an individual must: a. Sign a pledge to abide by all laws and regulations. b. Report to a supervisor any violation of the code of conduct of her company that is observed. c. Read, understand, and agree to follow all provisions of her employer 's code of conduct. D. Attempt to be honest and forthright in
“The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out” (Proverbs 10:9, NIV 1984). It has been my experience that I fall into both categories. I define integrity as doing the right things for the right reasons even when no one is looking. In The Six Traits of Ethical Employees, it is identified that an employee that “values integrity not only possess a strong code of ethics, they are willing to stand by their principles. (2017, p.4)”
Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral belief. Integrity is the foundation of leadership. I believe there is right and wrong. Without integrity, truth in the leader did not exist; less trustworthy are in this relationships. Integrity is an asses that informs us how to do will be right. On a broader scale, integrity is the lifetime skill to pursue. During the year of 2016, I participated in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) at Liberty Partnership. I was assigned by my supervisor to help the New Student office to distributed materials along with the three other members in the SYEP. While I was working diligently on the clock, other members were socializing, surfing the Internet, making personal phone calls,
When I was a freshman in high school, my friends and I were in the lunch line discussing the math test we just had taken. To my surprise, I saw ten dollars on the floor and I picked it up. My friends wanted to spend the money on French fries. I told them no. My friend Amanda said it was her money, it fell out of her pocket. I did not believe her for one second. Earlier that day I overheard her talking about forgetting her lunch money on the dining room table. I saw Mr. Panchal walking past us. I got his attention and called him over. When he came over I explained that I found this money on the floor and it did not belong to us. He smiled and said thank you. A majority of society would have kept the money and used it for themselves. On the other hand, we have another part of society that would be honest to give the money back or leave it where they found it. Integrity is more than being honest; it demonstrates moral traits, such as performing your own kind of integrity and simply doing the norm in society.
Just like the majority of people who are born and raised in China, I was accustomed to the rote learning technique, a quiet classroom and spoon fed teaching. However, after spending one month in Germany as an exchange student while in middle school, I was no longer afraid of public speaking and presentations. Instead, I began to enjoy sharing information with my classmates and even asking the teacher questions during the class. My participation in the Summer Camp at the University of Bridgeport in the United States allowed me to experience an interactive and vibrant classroom atmosphere featuring creative brainstorming sessions, heated group discussions and various case studies. This filled me with joy and happiness. These two experiences not only provided me opportunities to gain insights into western teaching methods, but also shaped my innovative character, developed my critical thinking and piqued my interest in pursuing advanced studies abroad.

After graduation from KOREA University, I decided to enter Hyndai MotorCompany(HMC), which is the largest Korean car manufacturer and global player, to pursue a career as an international businessman. In January 1991, I joined Domestic Finance Team of HMC. My specific assignment was to plan monthly and annual financial schedules for HMC's domestic funding needs. About two years later, in January of 1993, I was transferred to Retail Finance Team from Domestic Finance Team and responsible for financing by the sales and factoring of Car Receivables.
