1. Fair Deal: The Fair Deal was put together by President Harry Truman that was set of ambitious proposals for Congress. It recommended that all Americans have a health insurance, minimum pay wage will be increases, and by law that all Americans have equal rights.
2. Black Panthers: The Black Panthers were a member of a political party set up in the US in 1966 to fight for African American rights. The leader of the group was Huey P. Newton.
3. Great Society: The Great Society was launched by the Democratic President Lyndon B Johnson in 1965 to 1965. Its purpose was to eliminate poverty and racial injustice, and expand educational opportunities in the United States.
4. Potsdam Conference: The Potsdam conference brought together a meeting between Soviet Union Joseph Stalin, Britain Winston Churchill, and United States Harry Truman to negotiate the end of World War II.

The civil rights movement occurred between mid- 1950s to late 1960s to achieve civil rights, equal opportunity in employment, housing, and education, as well a right to vote, and public facilities. In 1909, the NAACP had the most influence to fight for equality for colored people. Another group that believed in fighting for African American rights were the “Black Panthers” as known as the Black Power movement. The Black Panthers were an African American group that fought for African American rights.
An organization that promoted nonviolent actions. It started by a student, Ella Baker held at Shaw University in April 1960. The Southern Christian Leadership Conference of 1957, was closely associated with Martin Luther King Jr. to promote civil rights for African Americans.
