Israel maintains the longest current military occupation of a sovereign territory. In 1948 Britain withdrew its mandate from Palestine causing the United Nations to split the area into two separate states, creating Israel and Palestine. Being the only Jewish state in a region of Muslim controlled governments, this was the cause for decades of conflict between Israel and various Muslim states. The outcome of these conflicts was Israel occupying East Jerusalem, Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and the West Bank since 1967, making these territories the longest current military occupation of any sovereign land. This military occupation has caused havoc among the region due to many conflicts and wars. (CIA Factbook,

and U.N. This causes these entities to impose sanctions and restrictions on these countries which in turn creates a more hostile environment to the global community (Bruno, 2011). While the U.S. combines efforts with Israel to gain intelligence on the support and aid of terrorist sponsoring states such as Iran and Syria, it gives the U.S. leverage in its other efforts against these states; such as Iran attempting to enrich Uranium causing further NATO sanctions. Additionally it could provide the U.S. insight on what other terrorist organizations Iran is sponsoring internationally, which would provide benefit to U.S. intelligence collections at home and abroad. Looking forward Israel will remain one of the U.S. largest assets in the region and due to its large military presence and the partnership of trade and intelligence in the region will greatly benefit the U.S. intelligence efforts in the Middle …show more content…

The role of the Middle East has been very crucial to the United States, especially after WWII. The U.S. had three strategic goals in the Middle East and consistently followed them throughout various events that unfolded in the region. First, with the emergence of the cold war between the Soviet Union and the U.S., policymakers began to recognize the importance of the Middle East as a strategic area in containing Soviet influence. This also coincides with the U.S. becoming increasingly wary of Arab nationalism and the threat it posed to U.S. influence. Secondly, the emergence of the new Israeli state in 1948 further deepened U.S. policy and involvement in the region while also creating friction between the U.S. and Arab states which were

If you deal with a great deal of data collection on a daily basis, you know that inputting and collecting that data can be a real pain. But rather than relying on multiple, complex systems, what if there was a way to collect multiple fields of data all at the same time? And with just one single adapter and cable? The Heidenhain ND1100/1200 Quadra-Chek Gage Interface with Multi-field Output allows for you to send data directly to Excel, with no software wedge required! You will be able to output to five fields in Excel or to any other Explorer based SPC programs with just the simple push of a single button.

1. In order for the education system to change and be multiracial there are different sections where you need to work from. Starting from the curriculum structure subjects such as science and math should recognize inventors who created science and math theories. When it comes to english and history; english should allow teachers to pick their authors and subjects that they think their students will be able to enjoy while learning the standards needed for that grade. “…Educators must have knowledge of children’s live outside of school so as to recognize their strengths” (Delpit, 242). As a minority my self having teachers who gave us the options to read books where we could relate to the characters and story lines it was easier for us to actually
Two numbers have a sum of 20. The sum of their squares is a minimum. Write the two equations required to solve this system of equations.
So we start of with x^2-4x+y^2+8y=-4 you would then take 1/2 of -4 and square it, then take 1/2 of 8 and square it. You would then get x^2-4x+4-4+(y^2+8y+16-16=-4. After all of these steps you would factor the square, x-2^2-4+y+42-16=-4, x-2^2+y+4^2-20=-4. Then you would add 20 to both sides, x-)^2+y+4^2=16
I have a long list of scholarships that I have decided to apply for. The scholarships focus on my likes and I chose the ones that I knew would be the most achievable. The deadlines for all the scholarships are close together so it gives me a heads up that I am going to need to start them before senior year has began. The scholarships are: Earth Day Award which is for $500 and the deadline is 2/29/16, Protect the Elephants which is for $3,000 and the deadline is 3/31/16, National WWII which is for $1,000 and the deadline is is TBD, Joe Foss Institute which is $5,000 and the deadline is TBD, B’nai B’rith International which is for $5,000 and the deadline is 3/25/16, “No Essay” Scholarship which is for $2,000 and the deadline is 3/31/16,
Laura Wallen. My teacher and class sponsor Ms.Wallen was killed during the first week of my senior year. If I had one more chance to talk to her I would be ecstatic. I would want to talk to her because she was one of the first teachers I met in high school. Having Ms.Wallen as a teacher who was always here supporting me was a great feeling. Every Time I saw Ms.Wallen she was smiling. During our homecoming week we would have to design a hallway and even with little to no supplies and only a few class council member, she would make it feel like we were winners. I would want to talk about college applications and all of the senior year events we were planning together. I would want to tell her that I love her and that her support from the beginning
HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) Level II codes are updated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. HCPCS Level II codes are revised annually with implementation in Jaunary of each year. This means that coders have to stay up to date on all changes. Some of the ways coders can stay up to date include: getting updates from the CMS website; consulting with the ASCA website; network with other coders; and consulting local coverage determinations. There are also monthly newsletters published by the AMA called HCPCS Assistant that are considered an official coding resource by the CMS. The medical management software must be kept up to date to ensure the proper codes are being used. A coder should never use an older

US – Israeli relations often appear to focus on America’s ability to enforce its sphere of influence in Israel by its diplomatic and monetary utility. Since 1976, Israel has been the most exponential annual recipient of US aid and the largest recipient of cumulative US assistance since World War II. The US had provided over 95% of economic development assistance and food aid to Israel, totaling to roughly $68 million per year between the years of 1949 and 1965. From 1966 through 1970 aid increased to about $102 million to include an estimated military loan increase of 47%. From 1971 to the present, US aid to Israel has averaged over $2 billion per year; two- thirds of which has been military assistance (Sharp,2015). The
The United States has always been a nation that has “offered their hand” in foreign affairs. They are often called upon by far-off nations to provide assistance politically or militarily in times of crises. One nation, in particular, Israel, has always had a special bond with the United States since World War II. Both countries implemented a democratic form of government and are military focused, which creates a sense of commonality. Contrary to common belief, this “special relationship” between Israel and the U.S. did not develop directly following the creation of the State of Israel in May 1948. In the early years of the new state of Israel, the United States regarded supporting Israel as more costly than beneficial. Early on, the presidents
Today, the Middle East has become more dysfunctional due to various Countries changing governments, and others becoming more chaotic. However, what most Middle Eastern countries have in common is that they don’t like Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The reelection of Benjamin Netanyahu has affected not only the Middle East, but America as well. Today, the United States is at a stand still with Israel as opposed to many years when they shared the same views of their enemies. With the current U.S. Foreign policies and the reelection of Prime Minister Netanyahu it seems that this friendship and other close allies might be dissolving. Depending what the next few months bring, it will determine whether Israel will sustain a relationship with the U.S. or will this once unbreakable friendship be pulled apart.
The economy and war in the Middle East attracted U.S. attention. For example, the Middle East is famous for their discovery of oil. The oil became a center of balanced power and helped increased technology in the U.S. (Del Priore, 27 Mar. 2013). The Middle East opened up a large economic opportunity for the U.S. to trade goods. The demand of oil in the Middle East is highly needed, which creates a concern for the Middle East in giving their oil to foreigners. In addition, Iran poses a problem to the U.S. regarding the use of nuclear weapons, hatred towards Israel, and is a state sponsor of terrorism (Del Priore, 27 Mar. 2013). Iran is capable of committing violent acts towards the people of Israel. Iran could get innocent people hurt if their hatred gets to point of the U.S. to take drastic actions. The U.S. wanted to get involved in the U.S. because of its economic opportunities, but the tensions between the Middle East and Israel still continues to pose a concern.
