Abstract. Biodiversity is a variety of life and it is important to maintain biodiversity because it provides everyone’s needs for food source, water source and shelter. Currently, Georgia Gwinnett College expanding with construction around the area, will this cause a disturbance where the campus will not be able to have biodiversity or having some disturbance can increase it? The research measured biodiversity in 5 different places around campus, these locations varying levels of disturbance and
Procedure Participants were seated comfortable chair which was adjusted least 80cm away from a computer screen in the sound-attenuated room and it has lasted two hours and half hour with breaks. And then the electrode cap was settled on the participant 's head and the eye electrodes were placed under the eyes. After electrode cap was settled, the alcohol was used to clean for further the scalp and then it filled with sand gel. The participants were asked to relax and informed not to move their head
administering the Impact of Event Scale (IES), which measures subjective distress related to stressful life events. For the study Sinhalese version of the original IES developed by Mardi Horowitz (Horowitz, 1979), was used. The independent sample t-test conducted to compare the type of the stressful events listed (Related to studies Vs not),
other child in the classroom and it also decreases the chance that a child will not be chosen due to the class roster. This measure has been reported to be fairly stable (Wu, Hart, Draper, & Olsen, 2001) It is also important to look at the ratings from each subject child individually to get a sense of how he evaluates his own peer relationships in both quality and in number, and the ratings will be compared between children to make sure that the perceived relationships of the subject child are not
samples t-test was used with condition (synchronous versus asynchronous) as the independent variable and drift distance of blu tack as dependent variable. Analysis revealed that the participants in synchronous condition (M= 1.98 cm, SD= 3.20 cm) drifted more closer to the rubber hand than in asynchronous condition (M= 0.12 cm, SD= 1.87 cm), t (48) = -3.42, p = .001, two-tailed test. Questionnaire To evaluate the hand ownership of participants after the hand illusion, a paired samples t-test was adopted
This report was commissioned to analyze the sales pattern of McDonald’s new product launch in Geography 11 in 2014, and provide business insights with sounded managerial implications. Methods of analysis include Regression Analysis, Independent t-Test, ANOVA Test and Descriptive Statistics. Overview The analysis draws attention to the fact that during this period, Geography 11 had a successful product launch, with total units sold of 46533 and average unit sold of 34 per day. There were average 1352
Schlossberg, 1993), three weeks after career termination (Lavalle, 2005). In addition, the TCQ was completed again within four months of career termination (Lavalle, 2005). Lavalle (2005) conducted a paired-samples t-test on participants’ BALANCE Scale scores. The paired-samples t-test was chosen to establish whether or not the two groups were significantly different at the onset of their participation (Lavalle, 2005). In addition, Lavalle (2005) conducted an analysis
The objectives of this experiment include: 1. Recruit 8 healthy non-smoking age group between 19 to 28 years adult volunteers to a two arm cross-over design study. 2. Volunteers consume 125 kcal before ad libitum test breakfast either drink apple juice (271 ml) or solid apple (280g). 3. Conduct an experiment to investigate the acute effect of fruit juice and solid fruit on appetite, energy intake and feeling of fullness or hunger. 2.0 Materials and Methods: 2
Experiment 1 For the purpose of learning more about linear regression, we have replicated Shepard and Metzler’s original mental rotation experiment from 1971. Method Participants. Previous NYU students, taking lab in human cognition, received course credit for their participation in the mental rotation experiment. The experiment was administered using a web-based version of the mental rotation task. Design and Stimuli. The experiment was run using a within-subject design, and consisted of 105 trial
This experiment was used to determine the impact of reminder systems on appointment nonadherence rates in a clinic population. Clinician time lost due to no-shows is unrecoverable. Because of the unpredictable nature of appointment nonadherence, providers’ schedule gaps cannot be filled with other patients. Since the no-shows then to occur at spotty intervals, creating short periods of downtime, it is even difficult for providers to fill the time with administrative tasks. The loss of revenue from
