Construct a two-way (with interaction) ANOVA table for these data.
At the 5% significance level, can you conclude there is interaction between income and zonal location?
Are you able to conduct tests on the main effects? If yes, conduct these tests at the 5% significance level.

Stores, a division of National Clothing, is a chain of women’s apparel stores operating throughout the country. The chain recently ran a promotion in which discount coupons were sent to customers of other National Clothing stores. Data collected for a sample of 100 in-store credit card transactions at Pelican Stores during one day while the promotion was running are contained in the file PelicanStores. Table 3.13 shows a portion of the data set.
The Proprietary Card method of payment refers to charges made using a National Clothing charge card. Customers who made a purchase using a discount coupon are referred to as promotional customers and customers who made a purchase but did not use a discount coupon are referred to as regular customers. Because the promotional coupons were not sent to regular Pelican Stores customers, management considers the sales made to people presenting the promotional coupons as sales it would not otherwise make. Of course, Pelican also hopes that the…

For the sample of drugs examined, the sample correlation coefficient r relating these two pieces of information is 0.33. Test for a significant linear relationship between the two variables average prescription drug cost in Canada and average prescription drug cost in the United States by doing a hypothesis test regarding the population correlation coefficient p. - A study of pine nut crops in the American southwest from 1940 to 1947 hypothised that nut production followed a Markov chain. The data suggested that if one year's crop was good, then the probabilities that the following year's crop would be good, fair, or poor were 0.08, 0.07, and 0.85, respectively; if one year's crop was fair, then the probabilities that the follow-ing year's crop would be good, fair, or poor were 0.09, 0.11, and 0.80, respectively; if one year's crop was poor, then the probabilities that the following year's crop would be good, fair, or poor were 0.11, 0.05, and 0.84, respectively. - In a study of the domestic market share of the three major automobile manufacturers A, B, and C in a certain country, it was found that their current market shares were 65%, 10%, and 25%, respectively. Furthermore, it was found that of the customers who bought a car manufactured by A, 75% would again buy a car manufactured by A, 15% would buy a car manufactured by B, and 10% would buy a car manufactured by C. Of the customers who bought a car manufactured by B, 90% would again buy a car manufactured by B, whereas 5% each would buy cars manufactured by A and C. Finally, of the customers who bought a car manufactured by C, 85% would again buy a car manufactured by C, 5% would buy a car manufactured by A, and 10% would buy a car manufactured by B.
