Hence the reduction of VO2+ is done by the gain of 1 electron to VO2+ 

Hence the reaction is 

=> VO2+ + e-  -------------> VO2+ 

Balancing : Since we have 2 O in LHS. Hence adding H2O to balance O in RHS

=> VO2+ + e-  -------------> VO2+ + H2

Now we have 2 H extra in RHS. Hence adding H+ in LHS to balance the H

=> VO2+ + 2 H+ + e-  -------------> VO2+ + H2
