What is the normal pH range of blood? Why is it
important to maintain this pH?

Expert Solution
Step 1

pH is the measure of how acidic or alkaline a solution is. It is the measure of the concentration of hydrogen and hydroxide ions in a solution.

The pH range exists between values 1-14 with 7 being the neutral pH. Acidic pH ranges below the value of 7, and alkaline pH ranges above the value of 7.
