Obtain mass of cup plus water.
Stir the water with thermometer and determine the temperature to the nearest tenth
of a degree.

Dry 1 ice cube with a paper towel to remove any water, and place the ice
immediately in the cup; do not splash any water from the cup.

Stir quickly until all the ice is melted, then record the temperature to the nearest
tenth of a degree.
