In my opinion, human beings have moral agency and moral obligations. However, a corporation is comprised of human beings, thus they have moral responsibilities as well. In the example that the book provided, "corporations have a basic first amendment right to participate in the political process and that the government may not prevent them from spending money to support the candidates they favor" (Shaw, 2017, p. 160). This simply is not fair because those individuals with high standing within the company are able use company money on political candidates. If a corporation did not have moral agents, they would gladly display how much money was spent on a candidate. However, because they do moral agents, it is kept a private matter. The other workers within the corporation could have used that money that just went to a candidate. It could have gone to much better areas, such as workers benefits. Corporations have been able to omit moral responsibility for too long and it has greatly impacted the workforce. The workers are not provided good working conditions, reasonable pay, or bare necessity benefits. Corporations are able to put more and more responsibility on the workers in an effort to maximize profit.    please help reply to this discussion post
