I just wanted to ask how do you change a v (or sign) to an ^ (and sign) in propositional logic whilst proving logical equivalence?   For instance this is the problem: Using a transformational proof, prove the following logical equivalence: (¬(¬(x v y) v ¬(x v z) <----> x v (y ^z)

Question

Hi,

I just wanted to ask how do you change a v (or sign) to an ^ (and sign) in propositional logic whilst proving logical equivalence?

For instance this is the problem:

Using a transformational proof, prove the following logical equivalence:

(¬(¬(x v y) v ¬(x v z) <----> x v (y ^z)

So I got this far:

(x v y) v (x v z)          <----> Law of Negation

x v (y v z)                  <-----> Distributive Law

Now I cannot figure out how to change the V (or) to a ^ (And) using propositional logic laws. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, have an exam tmr ;(

If you answer this,

Thank you so much you are a lifesaver.
