- Attention deficit hyperactive disorder
- Narcolepsy
- Neonatal apnea
- Drug induced respiratory depression
- Psychopathic personality
- History of suicidal tendency
- Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.

Central nervous system stimulants side effects
These drugs cause many side effects when use in therapeutic doses, such as,
- Moderate dose causes anorexia, anxiety and agitation.
- High doses cause emesis and convulsion.
- Lethal dose may be associated with cardiac arrhythmia.
- Abrupt use of these drugs lead to lethargy, irritability and headache.
