Kids should have less homework because that child has worked hard all day we need a break!
the first reason why I think it should be less homework is because it is true that students are going to find ways of not doing their homework, but that is called cheating. There are now tools that allow students to cheat with consummate ease. There are even math completion tools that do the math for a student. This means that homework cannot be used to test the knowledge of a child. It is therefore something that needs to be gotten rid of in the place of something else. I may be spending up too 3 hours of homework everyday and I have no time to relax and enjoy life. Teachers say that homework helps you remember your work but when i do too much, I just forget it all. Also, since I do sport and music, I have practice before and after school!
The second reason why I think it should be less homework is because the student should have the choice of reviewing and repeating his or her subjects. So if he thinks he understood everything in school and didn't need to review this by doing exercises, then he shouldn't be forced to do this, and if he made the wrong decision, than he will notice this on his decreasing grades. Homework can also be very frustrating and, in a classroom, you can always ask a professional. However,

then it really is a waste of everyone’s time. It waste’s the students time doing it the parents time helping it, and our time tracking and possibly even grading it. Also kids don't like work at all and that they are lazy. If we have less homework we can explore the world more and go to friends houses and play with sibling's and to spend more family time and play with friend online and play basketball, soccer, and other things but most importantly kid are getting the most homework and they are the
Studies show homework barely makes a difference. Kids claim homework is useless to them, and they might be right. Homework can be hard for kids and when they have trouble then it is harder for them to understand what the instructions are. Kids also get worried when they forget their homework. I think you should be able to turn in homework a day early or a day late. Most importantly kids do not perform better by a lot when they do homework. I think kids should have no homework.
I believe, as a student, that homework is just a tool that teachers use to keep us busy. Being a student who has received homework for various years, I have found that homework causes me a lot of stress (Ethos). Homework causes kids to get very stressed out, it causes stress in their families, and studies show that it does not improve test scores. Harris Cooper, a worker at Duke University (Ethos), found out that, doing more than 60 to 90 minute of homework in middle school and more than 2 hours in high school is associated with much lower scores (Logos). This just shows that homework is a useless item that students are forced to do. Firstly, students have to wake up from seven until two o'clock everyday,
The amount of homework given to students should decrease. The extensive amount of homework takes away family time that is necessary to child development. Also, stress that can can come with homework can cause health issues. The amount of homework given to students can cause students to cheat off students answers because they did not finish. Also, most of the homework that is assigned is not necessary in learning the material.
Students feel more stressed and turned off to learning, which is, a lifelong pursuit when it comes to homework. Too much homework turns kids off to learning and makes them less rather than more invested in school and learning. Are children having too much homework? There has been a big disagreement about if students should have homework or students should not have homework. Some people say they should not have homework and some say they should have homework. Children should not have homework, because it wastes all of the time out of school.
Students should not have homework because teachers have seven hours in the day to teach in the day that should be plenty of time to teach us in the day for whatever we need to learn and homework gets in the way of people’s sports. Students also have to stay up late at night to finish their homework and that might cause kids to have sleeping problems and then they wont work as hard in class because they are
To start off, I strongly believe that the school district shouldn't continue assigning homework to us students, and here's why. In source 2, 'List of 10 Big Pros and Cons of Homework", it states that homework is stressing to those who are young because it's a lot to take in, after being tired of learning multiple lessons in one day. This could lead to kids being less motivated about school and possibly become down about themselves.
Have you ever wanted to just shred up your homework or throw it out the window and have no consequences? Kids are assigned daily homework from the time they start kindergarten at the ripe young age of five. Is it really necessary? Does it even help better learning or even higher test scores? The amount of homework we do wastes time, money, paper, and trees because it’s practically the exact same thing we did in class that day. Homework causes kid’s and teen’s frustration, tiredness, little time for other activities and possibly even a loss of interest in their education. It also keeps everyone up; it has kids and teens staying up until they finish it, the parents trying to help them and the teachers grading it. So, I think that homework is
In an article by Marzano and Pickering it states that homework may no be an effective in educational tool. Homework is just busy work most of the time. Therefore, the extra homework doesn't help with student achievement. Inappropriate homework may produce little or no benefit, it might even decrease achievement, according to Marzano and Pickering. Homework can cause stress and when they're stressed all the homework they have doesn’t help. Let's imagine that you have homework for every class due the next day and sports as soon as you get home from school; it's a lot of stress. Marzano and Pickering say , teachers aren't well trained in how to assign homework. Moat teachers hand out mainly busy work, and aren't trained well enough to zhand out propor
Due to the fact, kids already go to school for eight hours and their brains shut down, causing health complications, too much homework can affect test scores, and kids have outside events, family, sports, church, and jobs to worry about. Some people agree with the idea of forcing teachers to have a limit on homework and some believe it has a beneficiary effect on students. But the negative effects are more damaging long-term.Than the benefits of it long-term. By limiting the amount of homework, given to students can increase the overall performance of the student and will leave them physically/mentally healthy. It will also give the children the chance to not miss out on the bonding time with family and friends. A happy child is a happy life for
After spending most of their time in school, students are expected to complete even more work, seems almost ridiculous. Homework is taking time away from students other activities. In the book, “The Case Against Homework,” by Sara Bennett and Nancy Kalish, they state how homework, “robs children of their sleep, play and exercise time need for proper physical, emotional, and neurological development.” Homework is no different than a towel placed in water. It soaks up the time from other activities A study done by the Brown Center found an
Shouldn't kids work on homework like these days instead of spending time with their family? Kids should be able to spend more time with their friends and family. I think this because homework is very hard and challenging. Homework can give headaches and also stress. My opinion is that homework should not be something to do at home.
Children should not have the responsibility of homework. Young students need time to develop their mind and social skills before being tasked so heavily with extra information. They also need more time to build a stronger relationship with their parents and family. Teachers will also benefit with the lack of homework given to children. These are a few reasons why students should not have homework.
The first reasons why we should get rid of homework in schools is children are overtired. This reason is important because being too tired is very bad. Children need at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep to get a proper education and children sometimes stay up to or past one o'clock from
When a class is almost over and a teacher starts assigning homework, every student's heart drops. When students have an excess of homework, they do not do as well. Even though homework is a good tool to help teachers teach students subjects, teachers should give less homework because too much homework causes mental health issues in students and less homework helps improve test scores.
But actually, more homework doesn’t do the trick. Too much homework can get into resting time or activities students need after school. Kids need their own time to be able to lay back and relax. On,”Healthline”, it states,”Research shows that some students regularly higher amounts of homework than experts recommend, which may cause stress and negative health effects.” More homework will intervene with students downtime and brain breaks needed after school. It can also negatively affect the child’s stress and possibly create negative health issues. Homework can be good, but too much can get in the way of a student’s relaxing time needed after
