4.1: Discuss the necessity of communicating the use of new/revised policies within the real work environment:

• To staff: It is important for staff to fully comprehend policies and procedures in order to carry them out as successfully as possible. Some of the following ways that will support them in doing this is re – training and having team meetings. These adjustments may allow the chance for staff and managers to discuss the pros and cons of any changes. It is essential for senior management to be encouraging and have a good understanding about the intended purposes. They can do this by demonstration within their setting. The most important duty for implementing a new policy or procedure will involve the managers and leaders in the environment. They should be able to take into account the new updates or purposes are carried out and meet the challenges that go with them for the professionals and service users. Some practitioners may specialize in a specific work role within their field.

Two of the main approaches that may promote the use of policies within in the work role are autocratic and democratic.

Autocratic Approach: Autocratic leadership gives a positive belief about the updates about any policies. However this kind of approach is not highly regarded by many of the working environments. This is due to the amendments being brought into use prematurely for the uses to access them. This approach of leadership and management may be viewed as being too authoritative.

Democratic Approach: This kind of approach is more positive in outlook as it is more productive and relates to people. Democratic leaders and managers should exert their controlling authority and provides stakeholders with the understanding that is needed and value their opinion by listening to any queries or issues they may have.
