1. “ Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control” (United Nations, 2012).
When nurses function as part of a unit, and when they act as part of a team, the job itself is easier and more efficient. (Ward, 2013). In order to be efficient, the health professional needs to incorporate skills into their daily job environment. Skills such as demonstrating commitment to team goals, following communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs among providers and across transitions in care, and act with integrity, consistency and respect for differing views. (QSEN, 2014). A nurse should initiate requests for help when appropriate to situation, initiate actions to resolve conflict, and communicate with team members. (QSEN, 2014).

Promotion of rights is promoting and supporting an individual’s right to dignity, independence, safety and security that every individual is entitled to. The professional nurse is an asset simply because much of what drives success within an organization is the fruit of labor. In order for this continued performance to strive it is necessary that an organization be designed to allow professionals to participate in the practice and help shape the environment in which patient care occurs which ultimately brings us back to this notion of shared governance.
Respect for Persons consists of respecting the autonomy of a person being recognized and protected, regardless if the person can acknowledge their autonomy or if the person has diminished or limited autonomy and lacks the ability to acknowledge their autonomy (Office for Human Research Protections, 1979).
it is important to protect the rights of those individuals who suffer a loss of autonomy

Nurses play significant roles in hospitals, clinics and private practices. They make up the biggest health care occupation in the United States. Nursing job duties include communicating between patients and doctors, caring for patients, administering medicine and supervising nurses' aides. The educational path for becoming a nurse vary depending on the type of nurse one hopes to become, but all nurses must be licensed. Licensings a very long , and vigorious process, but afterwards it’s all worth it. Registered nurses often work in hospitals or outpatient facilities, where they provide hands-on care to patients by administering medications, managing intravenous lines, observing and monitoring patients' conditions, maintaining records and communicating
Nurses have the reputation of being caring. They run to your bedside when you call and are there to support you through your visit. Ideally, their purpose is to nurse us back to health. Nurses should focus on their ability to care for patients, as it enables a strong professional nurse and patient relationship, but they should also know their limits.
In this assignment I 'm going to be talking about the job role of a nurse comparing it to another professional in the same sector, I 'm also going to be talking about ethics in nursing, qualities and values a nurse should have, teamwork and supervision and how it can support nursing staff, regulations that nurses have to adhere too and the employment opportunities a nurse will have.
The way of humanity to the modern understanding of human rights was long. The core element of a legal status of human and citizen are their rights, freedoms, and duties. Human rights are the fundamental rights and freedoms granted to all people, regardless of their nationality, gender, national or ethnic origin, race, religion, language or another status. Human rights are the social ability to act freely, to choose the type and extent of their behavior in order to satisfy diverse material and spiritual needs of the person by using certain social benefits within limits set by legislative acts. In the rights, freedoms, and responsibilities standards of behavior that are considered binding, useful, appropriate for normal functioning of society are not only fixed but also reveals the basic principles of relations between the state and the individual. Ensuring human rights and freedoms the state, in turn, requires certain behavior from the people that are formulated in the system of legal obligations.
