The modern workplace is quite different than before and it requires multiple skills set to make a effective decision and become a successful. Technology has shaped the world in different ways, and our society has been changing rapidly through the innovation, economic development, education, and information. I believe to be a successful person in this world, one should have strong knowledge in interpersonal skill, critical thinking, leadership quality, communication-presentation, research and analysis. These qualities and skills are essential in terms of making a difference within a personality, and producing a positive outcome, and we can develop these skills through daily practices in our work environment.

Another interpersonal skill is multi professional working, it is when professionals from different backgrounds have to work together in order to determine and to meet the needs of the people who use the services. The fact that these professionals are all from many different backgrounds the communication will need to be formal and carefully planned to avoid barriers to understanding. The main method of communication you may use in a multi professional working context, is oral communication, but they may also use written communication for writing formal letters, requests etc.
Today I am going to discuss the skills that I believe are necessary to be successful in today’s workforce. A skill that I believe is critical in the workforce is an understanding of basic technology. A hard work ethic is a key to success in the workforce today as well. Having an eagerness to learn will allow the individual as well as the organization to advance in unparalleled ways.
According to Merriam Webster interpersonal skills are being, or relating to, or involving relations between persons (2017). However, in the business domain, the term refers to an employee's ability to get along with others while getting the job done. Interpersonal skills include communication and listening skills, as well as one’s attitude and behavior. Studies have shown that the advancement of technology has made it very easy for millennials not to communicate face to face. In today’s society, many things can be communicated via phone or email. Smartphones have dramatically shaped the way Millennials view technology. Computers, MP3 players, telephones, calculators, maps, cameras, clocks, notepads, and Bibles are all now contained in one handheld device.
In today’s workforce there is an increase in the lack of skillful applicants that do not reach the expectation of their future employers’. Every career has distinct skills that the employee needs to obtain in order to be successful in their job. People argue that the skills needed to be successful in today’s workforce have changed compared to the past generations. Change is an inevitable process of life there are basic skills that are inevitably important to any workforce. These skills are attendance, communication, and problem solving.
