Individuals who are given the opportunity to learn new skills, increase their abilities for specific accomplishments, and increase their overall knowledge in their field are more likely to remain with their employers. Therefore, many health care organizations realize that continuing education is not only a requirement for certification but also a method for attracting and retaining the best employees. Providing employees with a chance to polish their skills and learn new methods of providing the best care increases job satisfaction. It also makes employees more valuable as they are more able to provide the kind of care that patients expect and deserve. Employee competence is what makes health care what it is. Failing to provide adequate opportunities for continued education in the field will result in less overall care. Bringing opportunities into the organization can introduce a business with new ideas and creative ways of solving problems. Occasionally getting employees out of their normal routine can jump-start energy and encourage employees to recommit to their jobs and the company. Learning new skills and interacting with new and different people has a direct impact on the productivity and development of the work environment. Trainings should not be expensive or last for several days in order to be beneficial. Workshops, classes, and cross-training in other departments

Training and Development is imperative to the organization’s progress. Training helps addressing employee weaknesses and builds a reliable and skilled workforce. This will improve the employees’ performance and boost their self confidence, and innovation. By acquiring the needed knowledge and skills, employees can perform more efficiently and increase the overall productivity of the organization.
Knowledgeable and well trained employees are needed in every organization. It is important employees are able to perform all the tasks needed in order to reach the organizations needs and achieve the set goals. As times change, employees may stay behind in skills or may even lack training when it comes to new systems, technology or other procedures that the company may need in order to better performance. That is when the importance of training is more evident. An organization has a large responsibility for their success which is why training, development, and career development is

Organizational analysis “involves determining the appropriateness of training, given the company’s business strategy, its resources available for training, and support by managers and peers for training activities” (Noe, 2013, p. 114). Organizational analysis has determined that retraining needs to occur in several key areas. Training will be given to managers, on improving communication, motivating and retaining employees through coaching and individual pathway development, with a

Health education is a profession of educating people about health. Areas within health education include environmental health, physical health, social health, emotional health, intellectual health, and spiritual health. It can be defined as the principles of which individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a way to build up the promotion of health and healthy behaviors, keep up the maintenance of good clean health behaviors, or restore health that has been diminished by bad health behaviors. A health educator has seven responsibilities that help communities and individuals learn better health habits. The first four are the ones that were most drilled into our heads during 339. Responsibility one is assessing individual and community
Health Education is the continuum of learning which enables people as individuals and as members of social structures, to voluntarily make decisions, modify behaviours, and change social conditions in ways which are health enhancing (Joint Committee on Health Education Terminology’s report, McKenzie Smelter, 1997).

This training programme aimed to teach a four year old Labrador retriever cross (named ‘Poppy’) to lie on her side and ‘play dead’ in response to the command “Avada Kedavra”. The phrase comes from the celebrated ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, in which it was a curse that killed the unfortunate recipient. Such a task was achievable as Poppy already knew the “lie down” command and was trained to imitate death from this position. Though the objective of this programme doesn’t have any extremely pragmatic applications such as “sit” or “stay” (commands this dog already knew), it certainly possesses great entertainment value.

Health education and health promotion focuses on the behaviors, systems, environments, and policies that affect health at various levels by encompassing the biological, environmental, psychological, social, physical, and medical sciences (University of Utah College of Health, 2015). In addition, it involves the development of individual, group, institutional, community, and systemic strategies to improve health knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors. As Health Educators continue with the practice of promoting health through individual, family, organizational,
