A. Supply Chain Strategy: I recommend the Keiretsu networks as the correct supply chain strategy for the power tool company. The three main strategies are the Keiretsu network, virtual company, vertical integration. All of them have their advantages and disadvantages.
In a Keiretsu network the manufacture will combine the best features of all three methods, it is part collaboration, using fewer suppliers and some vertical integration. An example of this style of Keiretsu network would be that the tool company can work closely with one supplier, such as a parts maker but not by buying out the company. Here the commitment to a long term business relationship promises continued mutual growth. They collaborate with each other and share

In comparison a department stores has much higher turn over.
Using Inventory Turnover to Calculate Average Days to Sell a Product. Once the inventory turn rate is calculated then calculating the number of days it takes for the power tool company to clear its inventory is 365 days divided by inventory turn rate of 5 times per year, take 365 ÷ 5. The answer 73 is the number of days it takes to go through its inventory. This method can also be used for benchmarking against companies in the same business. This will help compare the inventory turnover rates.
B. b. Perfect order measure/fill rate: This method measures the error-free rate of each step in the supply chain. Error occurs when the customer has an unsatisfactory experience with the power tool they purchased because of errors and delays in the supply chain. The complexities of an extended supply chain make the odds against fulfilling a perfect order challenging.
The number of defective pieces that are received by customers can be a measurement of perfect orders. An error code can be developed for faulty power tools. The following percentages can also be used:
Parts entry 99% correct
Delivered on time 89%
Shipped without damage 87%
All three can be added to calculate the 275/3 = 91%. Therefore, 91% would be the fill rate.
Fulfilling a perfect order depends on the journey through the supply chain, it is filled with
Regional School Unit (RSU) #64 is comprised of an elementary, middle and high school within a small rural community in the town of Corinth, ME. This community is largely supported by agriculture and local business. However, it is about 20 miles from Bangor, ME, the closest city with numerous resources. Unfortunately, this distance restricts Corinth residents with a lack of transportation from having access to these resources. Inadequate knowledge and awareness of health care promotion and prevention methods also have adverse results on community health. Whether the resource be obtaining a pair of glasses or medication from a pharmacy, even the seemingly effortless tasks can present challenges and go to show that members of this community suffer disparity due to their rural location.
The National Center for Learning Disabilities (2016) or NCLD was founded in 1977. Based on information provided by NCLD (2016) their mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with learning and attention issues. The National Center for Learning Disabilities (2016) advocates for equal rights and opportunities for the learning disabled community by providing programs and reporting on related issues. The NCLD (2016) website gives access and information on programs that cater to parents, young adults, professionals, and educators about learning disabilities.I appreciate The NCLD (2016) website provides for children and their parents as well as professionals. As a future educator, i welcome any additional resources I can use in the future for my own classroom or even aide another colleague. I especially appreciate the Get Ready to Read program(2016) “a free early Learning Resource” Intended for educators .However I believe, parents can use the Get Ready to Read program(2016) for their own kids who are not yet in school or as a extra teaching tool in conjunction with their children's
Casey Toner from AL.COM writes, Sexually transmitted disease (STD) cases for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis in Alabama are nearly double the national average (2014). STDs cost the United States an estimated 15.6 billion dollars a year and is one of the most commonly reported diseases. Adolescents, persons of color, and MSM (Males having sex with males) are at the greatest risk for acquiring STDs. The CDC reports that half of all reported STDs are acquired by adolescents between the ages of 15 and 24.
I’m writing to propose an initiative to reform Arizona’s high school curriculum to include digital technology as a part of the graduation requirements for students. Implementing technology courses as part of the core standards in high school provides opportunities for students to learn how to effectively communicate and share ideas with others. This is skill they will use and need in future opportunities when communicating with business peers who live in different parts of the world.

STEVENSON was only interested in attending the Governors’ conference because he did not like the idea of the reestablishment of the BROYLES COMMISSION. It was said that his first task that he wanted to complete was to speak to Hoover in order to convince him to meet with two members from the American Legion, which would include Illinois State Commander Lawrence J. Fenlon. Hoover was able to understand where STEVENSON was coming from he went so far to inform STEVENSON to “beware of amateur Red-hunters, citing several examples of bumbling counter-subversives who had interfered with the Bureau’s sophisticated internal security operations” (53). Many people were lobbying for the BROYLES COMMISSION to be reintroduced, but something more important came up, which was the issue of the investigation into state educational institutions. During the meeting in February of 1951 STEVENSON and many other state governors that
As per Elaine Anderson's request a few days back, I've removed all RVL03 packs and replaced them with pack RVL3T for all RR Velars from the "Holding Pool" status (Vista Status Code 10) up until the "On Ship" status (Vista Status Code 150). A total of 5,222 packs were modified which would equate to a revenue loss of about $271,335.
Part I: Suppose a researcher wants to conduct a study to find out how much adolescents know about the drug, Ecstasy. Would such a study be constrained by legal and/or ethical considerations? If so, what would these constraints be, and how would they limit the researcher's ability to assess adolescents' knowledge about Ecstasy? What should the researcher do to protect the human subjects?
Through the social security system, Koreans have access to healthcare services. The South Korean social security system uses four insurance schemes to provide public assistance and social welfare services, all of which are compulsory. These social insurance schemes protect and secure people's income, health and employment. Foreigners who live and work in the country can subscribe and contribute to all four and receive the same benefits as Korean nationals. This cover is also extended to their dependents.Every resident in the country is eligible regardless of nationality or profession. Foreigners living in South Korea who are registered with the National Health Insurance Corporation receive the same medical benefits and services as Korean nationals. High quality healthcare is available in South Korea in general hospitals, oriental hospitals (which use traditional eastern medical practices), public health centers and private hospitals. There is a three tier provision
I would explain to the department supervisor that the GRRRR technique can give less tension for the staff. I would also add that “The GRRRR for great listening model provides a structured approach to listening, helping to focus on how the message is received as well as its delivery.” (Belcher, 2014). Also, the GRRR technique stimulates discussion and provides a structured approach to listening and allows the staff to clarify concerns and express additional thoughts or recommend or request more information. Finally, I would add that I can also provide written material to all staff or have poster boards in the room to gain their attention and increase their will to listen especially if there will be any type of change involved.
I would advise the CEO that to better serve the company’s desire we would start with a strategic plan by setting goals and objectives. It would be best to elicit the opinions of every staff member on how they feel about the company’s goal. After listening to the staff opinions on how best to implement the goals, a plan is to be put in place detailing the steps by steps on how to achieve each tasks. I would emphasize to the CEO the importance of setting goals and communicating them effectively to the staff members, especially those who will be the managers. Additionally, the CEO is to consider the needs of each individual in the company. It is important to address both the task and the needs of the employees ( Phillips & Gully, 2014).
After I had made my choices in quarter for I checked the pro forma and made adjustments to factory capacity and demand to insure we could hit profitability. I did cut too close on the inventory because we had loss sales due to stock outs. The lost sales did not come close to what our losses where due to excess capacity and inventory holding costs in Quarter 2 and Quarter 3. Pro forma are a crucial peace of the Simulation. Once I fully grasped the concept I was able to make better decisions for Lean in enterprises.
The customers, wholesalers and retailers may order in large quantities with the expectation that they will receive a greater allocation of products that are in short supply. The impact on the supply chain is significant as the forecasted demand is greatly, and unrealistically, increased with these inflated orders. Eventually orders disappear and cancellations pour in, making it impossible for the manufacturer to determine the real demand for its products
The main strategies that WoodSynergy uses to enhance the Supply Chain performance and that are discussed in the case are classic disintermediation, remediation and net-work based mediation. In the first case the firm attempts to remove all of the intermediaries of the supply chain in which case the suppliers are in direct contact with its customers providing real-time interface. Besides providing consumers with a more direct convenience when it comes to making the goods more accessible, it can potentially translate into prices that are lower since supply chains are rationalized and the cost that is expected from these distributors is reduced. Furthermore, a firm is going to proceed to disintermediation when the cost to have a business relation with its intermediaries is higher than the importance that it is worth.
Excellent customer service is a way to set the organization apart from its competitors. Differentiation can be achieved through fast and correct execution of product ordering. To improve on the order process it is important to have the correct information provided in a timely fashion to all divisions. For integration to be successful information must be available throughout the entire supply chain.
