Project manager/team member communication for project success: Startsmart K-3 Plus research study case
1. Introduction
Good communication and feedback is considered a critical success factor for a project (Fortune, J. & White, D. 2006). If this factor is managed poorly, it can lead to the failure of a project. For a successful communication management strategy there needs to be documented communications. Project documentation is an interessement and enrolment device: as the project plan and the project management plan are developed the sponsor, steering committee, team members and other contributors slot into their roles and sign up to their responsibilities (Blackburn S, 2002, p.200-201).
In the field of educational research, the need for a clear communication between the project managers and its team members is fueled by the need to accurately measure the project ‘status’ and to be able to effectively control the deviations. A well-crafted communication strategy in this type of research’s is a prerequisite to developing an effective communication.
This paper focuses on the use of internal communication for the particular case of the Startsmart K-3 Plus educational research project. To have a better understanding of the benefits and limitations of internal communications from a project perspective, I will provide a description of the communications recommended to be used for this project and the development and application of the strategy selection.
2. Literature review
In a project the communication level is a very important part from the beginning to the end of project close out and completion stage. This method in the plan is extremely necessary and it is a needed tool that helps assist the project team, the stakeholders, and the executive team of Enterprise. This tool is effective and it makes sure all members involved with the project is on the same level of understanding, it makes sure all involved stays updated on the
The paper is divided into three sections, the first of which will establish a timeline of events. This project background will serve as a case study for the analysis in the following section that will be structured such that each of the previously mentioned facets will be independently analyzed and contrasted with project management principles. Finally the paper will conclude with a summary of the analysis and recommendations based on
Communication is an important part of our everyday lives. Without communications skills, it is extremely difficult to preform many simple tasks. With one person describing to another the function to perform, there needs to be clear description of the task at hand. When dealing with software projects, it is imperative that the end user convey their requirements of the software to the developer. Effective communication skills need to be used in order for a software project to be successful. A lack of communication to define a software project will not only doom the project but quickly increase the project budget due to misunderstandings and rework.

We have used the following methods in order to generate the information within our project:-Requesting suggestions and feedback from stakeholders and project staff, which is a convenient way to create the information as their suggestions and ideas would be of help to the whole structure as well as to the refined parts of the project ;-Taking advantage of Feedback Forms, which is again practically working well for a project

Effective communication within the project team and between the project manager, team members, and all external stakeholders is essential” (PMBOK, 2013, p.515). The communication between the project manager and stakeholders was quite effective. However, the communication between the project manager and project team was infrequent and inconsistent. I attributed the fractured communication to gaps during the planning stage. For example, certain procedures include steps that weren’t validated and based upon assumptions. These gaps highlight the second interpersonal skill:
This exercise discusses the membership, social identity, and mechanics operating within the team informally known as ERAU Nighthawks. This team, originally assembled as Group 3, formed by instructor assignment during the August 2016 section of class PGMT 502 Effective Communication for Managing Projects. In addition to the group mechanics, this paper includes a discussion of the best practices for ERAU graduate course meetings discovered by the Nighthawks.
As the project manager for this project, here is my plan to address communication barriers for our team and to keep communication flowing in a positive way.
The framework for communication will revolve around the teamwork between the department heads, team project, and their technical communication. Whenever something gets wrong, we need to consider it as an opportunity for improvement instead of punishing and blaming someone. All department heads should be open minded to discuss any issues regarding the organization. Continuous improvement is everlasting and something will be there always to improve. Each department has to document all of the problems using same a template and that will help all department heads to understand the problem quickly and analyze and come across a solution to apply in the future. This report will help to identify the nonconformities, and the department heads should take action to correct all types of nonconformities including ‘critical, major and minor’ by setting priorities. For instance, if we ordered the material later than expected then we should record that and we can use that data to develop new expected date to use for the future
While projects can be similar in some instances, no two projects are ever the same. For this reason, management of projects requires the application of tools and techniques to meet the goals of the temporary endeavor. Project managers apply these tools and techniques to determine what is required for project delivery such as the list of activities to completed, the time required to complete the activities, resources needed and the various risks associated with the deliverable and efforts. A multitude of tools and techniques are employed by the project manager based on the need of the effort to organize, identify and communicate the various aspects of the project. While in contrast, the repetitive nature of operations activities
Successful achievement in a project, requires detailed understanding and capabilities of project management. Implementing the given task in the most appropriate ways will result in a successful project.
Project Communications Management – identifies processes of communication to ensure stakeholders, users and project team are informed about the status of the project.
The purpose of this paper is to recommend that Project Management is a concept that focuses on the dynamic characteristics of a multi-facetted organization. In such a changing situation, effective communication is a characteristic that should be stressed and becomes the most important tool for the project manager and team members.
This study discuss factors influence project context and progress in environment and also highlighted that, communication is an important issues when conducted projects in a environment with different work culture, a multiple players that has large scale project having their own smaller size, but full scale project covers wider particular area, involves organisational finances and capabilities that is beyond the capacity of one organisation which are called project of projects. Therefore the beginning of development and implementation of such project are not appropriately considered and communicated to the stakeholders, in one hand this can carry on host of developing change in the
