Pro Death Penalty

All people that are accused for murder should not be put on death penalty as soon as proven guilty. What if you take an innocents person's life? Once an innocent person is executed, his chance to prove innocence dies with him(Mandatory). You will never really know if a person is innocent or guilty until you have all 100% facts and evidence. But Death row is always wrong! Never kill a criminal because they killed your loved one, you don't want to give them the easy way out. You would want the criminal to suffer in jail and think about the people he killed so it would eat his mind alive. Always think before you agree with

I agree that if we stopped doing the death penalty they would be put in high security prisons so they wouldn't hurt anyone else. I also agree that it is really expensive to be put on death row and it would be less expensive if the criminal was just put in prison for life. The thing i don't agree with is that people use the death penalty for revenge.

There are so many pro’s as to why we as a country need the death penalty. One of those reasons are, it provides closure for the victims, and or family members. The death penalty ensures families, and surviving victims that the murderer will be not be able to strike again. For example, a surviving victim will never feel closure unless the murderer himself is put to death. Meanwhile, the less fortunate ones who were murdered, raped, kidnapped, and etc. will never find closure until that person gets what they deserve.

I think that some murderers should be put to death, but not all. I have strong feelings toward the death penalty. The death penalty should be less of a penalty, but rather a means of keeping people safe.

The question of whether or not the death penalty is the right solution for certain crimes has always been and still today is debatable. Though the individual may have committed a crime worthy of death, does this still mean that the government should have them put to death? I believe it does. Death penalty is hot topic to discuss. Deciding whether or not if the death penalty should be used to this day. Arguments for and against the death penalty for under seven categories: morality, deterrence, retribution, mistakes, cost, race and income. People will argue that one category is stronger than the other. It comes down to which one is more important when supporting the death penalty. Retribution supports the death penalty because it brings closure to victim families. Morality claiming that people are in control of their own destiny and their destiny led them to death role. Deterrence is for preventing future crimes.

I strongly believe in the death penalty because it deters crime. According to James Pitkin (2008) “Advocates of the death penalty argue that it deters crime, is a good tool for police and prosecutors (in plea bargaining for example), makes sure that convicted criminals do not offend again and is a just penalty for atrocious crimes such as child murders, serial killers or torture murderers.”

Death penalty is what majority of people want and feel is justified. Feel as though if you take someone's right to life then they should be able to disregard the rules for the life of the murderer. This is all determined by the jury and the judge on the case. Judges normally give life sentences to prisoners unless the killings is really evil than the murderers usually end up facing the death penalty. This all depends on which state the crime takes place in because there is only 31 states that have laws for it, and enforce them.

Many people that are agents having the death penalty say that there is always a better alternative than killing the criminals. They say that life without parole would be worse than killing them when they killed someone or even worse. Spending life in prison is something an insane person that has done something really bad would want. By putting them to death, they will not be in comfort and would be really mad and stressed which is what they deserve.

Sitting in prison will be a better punishment than being killed, they will be suffering and paying for their crimes. The death penalty does not truly give justice because you are making the victims’ family happy but hurting the criminals’ family. Why punish the criminals’ family because of the criminals’ crime? What if the criminal has a kid(s)? It is like you are giving one family closure but making things worse for another. At least if the criminal is in prison they can visit them instead of watching them get killed. The better way to punish someone is by a life sentence. Knowing them selves will rot in penitentiary will torture their mentality in a different way. They will feel that they do not have a life but they still live in a cage, alone with no one who cares about them. And it is allbecause of what they have done. It is absolutely the better way than the death penalty.
