1. Before Humanities 210, how would you have described the philosophies/religions that influenced your processes for decision making, thinking, and developing preferences? How would you describe your level of conscious choice of and commitment to these philosophies/religions? What helped form or develop the belief in that philosophy/religion?
Answer:
Before class began I would describe my religious influence was minimal, and the philosophies that were described in class were not present in my mind. Although the bible clearly states in Leviticus 20:13 that, sleeping with another man is an abomination, and that it deserves the death penalty (New International Version). I disagree with this, a person’s relations, and decisions about what they want to do is there choice. For

It is as if there is a switch that I can use to flip on and off between the two reading styles. I do not necessarily dislike reading novels as such, however, it can become tiresome therefore in some instances I choose the more simplistic route. My literary preferences have little to do with my religious views. As a Christian not totally devoted though, it would seem more sensible to not read fantasy or science-fiction as they challenge many notions of God. However, those are the genres of stories that I prefer and would not want to consistently read any other types of books as most are boring and bland. I do not ever particularly read anything religious. Although, I have read some of the bible as is expected by the faith to have at least an understanding of the book. I think that my enjoyment of reading these types of literature reflect my faith and what I believe in. I enjoy questioning everything, because life is not a world to live without thinking; so I like literature that questions the laws of everything in

I have selected Apple as the company that I will be following financially for the duration of Accounting 561. Not only am I a passionate Apple user, I also believe in how the company develops, creates, and markets their product lines for consumer use. They have created products that are so complex at their core with an extremely simple user experience, which has been nothing short of remarkable to watch from the time I was a child through adulthood. I look forward to studying the company and their financials further as we dive deeper into Accounting 561.
The White Anglo-Saxon Protestants (WASPs) have been at the top of the social hierarchy ever since they arrived to America in the 1600s. The first wave of immigration consisted of the Germans, Irish and Chinese. The WASPs created a way to measure the success of each immigrant group. They acknowledged four factors of success that would show them whether an immigrant group was successful or not. The first factor of success was how much money an immigrant had when they came to America. The more money they came to America with, the more successful they were. Another factor of an immigrant’s success was how large the group they came with was. The larger the group, the less respect and
Transformative learning is basically changing the way one thinks, feels, acts, and sees life now, as opposed to the past. It can have a small or huge impact on the way they see different aspects of their life. The four stages of the transformative learning process are: Recognizing a specific problem – this is when one would decide if there is a need for change. They would recognize that there is a problem and specifically what it is. Confronting the problem intensely – They would then avoid apprehension and immediately confront the problem, while remembering to consider all possible solutions.
Due to the increase in racial and ethnic diversity in the United Sates there is a great need to provide counseling interventions that cater for social issues that are attributed to the racial and ethnic diversity. Presently, efforts are being made to implement social justice advocacy strategies and interventions into counseling practices. Thus, counselors are encouraged to be agents and advocates for social justice, oppression, and discrimination (Ratts & Hutchins, 2009). At the forefront of social justice counseling approaches, is the need to empower the oppressed or marginalized individual by confronting injustices and inequalities that affect the individual at the systemic level (Pedersen, Lonner, Draguns, Trimble, & Rio, 2015).

As a child, I would image what my life would be like when I became a teacher. In this paper I will explore different developmentally appropriate approaching philosophies, theories, and concepts when teaching math, reading, science and the fine arts to young children across a developmental curriculum. Having to gain knowledge from the early childhood text helped me to create what I consider to be the perfect classroom plan. Preschool education is very important because this is their first experience towards twelve years of grade school. The knowledge they gather will increase as they grow and development.
The staff will be trained appropriately to fit their role in the program. The staff has a goal of being an effective staff in which they want to provide the best care for the suffering inmates. The top three health officials beginning with the psychiatrist, will be required to attend multiple mental health seminars in order to be an effective program. The staff will base their training off of moral standards such as the four basic rules by Suresh Bada Math which are “1. Protect, promote and endorse human rights of the prisoners. 2. Take care of the needs of the prisoners to the extent feasible within the prison environment. 3. identify patients who have health problems and get them the needed health care. 4. Pay special attention to the vulnerable

The right to have children is understood in very different ways and people’s ethics and values are put to the test each and everyday when they find out they not only must take care of themselves but the lives of another human being. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted this statement regarding the right to bear children “men and women of full age, without any limitations to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and found a family”[1]. This concept has been viewed in multiple ways and according to ethical theorists; they agree that no rights are absolute. However, it is said that for women at least, there is a fundamental privilege to have children. The right to
