Since the second year of graduate school in Wuhan University, I have been a TOEFL reading teacher in Wuhan English New Channel School. After more than 3 years’ teaching, I find that I still need to study further on education because I did not learn much professional knowledge about teaching and education during my bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
At first, my passion for teaching is from my mother. My mother is a famous teacher in the middle school of my hometown, and she has educated numerous excellent students in her teaching career. During summer or winter vacation of each year, some students come to visit my mother. Nowadays, even though it is much more convenient for us to communicate with each other through the Internet, some of my mother’s students still pay my

Due to the fact that she is so popular with her students, I am very envious of my mom. I hope that one day I will become a respectable teacher just like my mother. In addition, my mother is a teacher, and she has a regular schedule, which means that she had a plenty of time to accompany me and take care of me when I was a little girl. As a result, I had a happy childhood. I wish that my child would be as happy as me if I became a mother ; therefore, I want to be a teacher.
Secondly, it is my own study experience helping me to set my life goal more clearly— I want to become an English teacher who can change the way English is taught in China. I was an English major student; however, that is not my choice at first. I failed in my college entrance examination, and applied for the college and chose the English major at the suggestion of my mother. Actually, I was not good at English at all in my high school. To be honest, I hated English. My high school English teacher asked us to finish various exercise, including listening, reading, grammar, reading, and writing. At that time, I believed that the only
In the passed four years I have realized my passion for learning. Though like every other high school student I love summer vacation, at end of August I am excited and ready to go back to school. I have realized the power of learning and understood that knowledge can take you where you want to go. Not only that but I understand, being a middle-class girl, how lucky I am to have the opportunity of school and the option of college. Nevertheless, it is not that easy. College is expensive where ever you go and no one has thousands of dollars lying around to pay for it all. I have been blessed to have parents who saved some money to help me get through college, yet I will still have debt. Having a passion for learning and going into a science or
I thought very highly about teachers and education; to me, being a teacher was the best profession to be in. As I got older, I started to look deeper into the idea of being an educator, and my desire to become a teacher grew. My mother had a huge
I am seeking to join Teach for America for a few reasons. The first reason is because I want to make a change. So many of today’s youth are lacking the required educational foundation needed to succeed. The problem is not that they aren’t smart enough or that they are not capable of high achievement. The problem is that they are not given the same opportunities that are found in a different zip code or a neighboring town. The lack of equality in the education system is disparaging and is a social injustice effecting children that do not have any control over the area where they live. It is my belief that many students in low-income communities can benefit from having someone who believes in them and can help them reach their highest potential.
To use my skills in the best possible way as a leader for providing direction, planning, analysis and coordination of nutrition and dietary service programs for the department of corrections. My 21 years experience in the area of Dietetics has provided me with the knowledge and resources to grow as a professional in my
To learn is to live, and I want to learn for the rest of my life. There is not a day which goes by without learning something new about the crazy, beautiful world.
My life has been filled with setbacks; however, each obstacle has been met with the tenacity and guidance to overcome each and every barrier. Before I was able to create a strong framework to work through these challenges, you and my family gave me the opportunity to grow and explore. As you may remember, during my early teen years there was high conflict with my stepfather in the house. This was also compounded by strains of the relationship I lacked with my biological father and pressures of maintaining a high academic performance in school. Those who interact with me on a daily basis may not have easily gathered any of this information, but this aspect highlights the importance of a strong doctor patient relationship.
In the beginning of my passion project I felt unsure about being able to get anything out of it. The reason for that is because my loved one has already attempted to stop her addiction but always failed. Knowing that I felt that it was going to be another fail. Mostly I was scared of how she was going to react when I told her about what I wanted to do. I was also excited and happy that maybe this time she will actually be bale to overcome Her addiction, because she would have me by her side pushing and encouraging her to go on with it.
I have been dreamed to become a teacher since I was 13 years old, at that time, I tried really hard in studying, but it did not really work for me. Most of my teachers gave up on me, only one of them did not, that was my Chinese teacher, Mrs. Zhang. Mrs.Zhang asked every people in my class to write three journals every week, and I wrote many negative things in my journals. She read them, and called me over to her office, we had a very long conversation. She believed I that was just still on the middle of processing to become a middle school student, and suggested me to change my learning methods. “It is not the time to give up yet.” I could read many things from her eyes, and the most important one was that she trusted me. I did not want to disappoint her, it took me almost a year to change everything and became the top ten in my class. Now, I am in college, and on the way to become a high school chemistry teacher. I want to help more and more people when they are struggle, tell them how study will benefit our live, just like what Mrs.Zhang did on me.
I grew up in what I like to call, a ‘loose family’. That doesn 't exactly mean we had no values or close communication. I say that with the perspective I now have as a 24 year old, young man. Without going into too much detail, the least I can say is, although we weren’t there together for a majority of the time we always had one another for advise and constant motivation. As a kid I would spend a lot of my time reading and I would do so in what I considered my best friend, a huge pine tree in our front yard. As strange as it may sound I fell in love with not only that specific tree, but all trees. Since that time I’ve never felt any less towards all nature and wildlife and I hope to one day educate on that subject. I’ll reach that goal because of one thing. Motivation. To give you an inside look at where my motivation comes from and my initial motivation to start college, it starts with my graduation of high school.
I sit in the back of the class. Not by force, but of my own accord. I am aware that this is a paper about my passion and we will proceed to that, but there is much more to people that sit in the back that you think. My seating is a segment of my ‘passion’, for it is where I am most comfortable and where I can access my desires the most efficiently. Yes, you might think it is purely to avoid the looming eye of the professor, but it is just the opposite. It is so I can access the start, or the outlet to my passion… imagination. The cognitive freedom I have is my passion and it very well manifests itself on the physical plane of existence. In my eyes the subject of this essay is not even a ‘passion’, but my way of life, it is the way I can function freely without succumbing to the stressors in my surroundings. This is an endeavor of the mind as much as it is a verbal exhibition of my art, better yet, this is a journey, for us both.
When the word “math” is brought up in a conversation a majority of people cringe, it’s the hard truth. Math has been around since the dawn of man, and it is used in almost every career field. According to Merrilyn Goos, math “provides the fundamentals for everyday living” and is “a skill needed for many jobs” (2016). I, myself, have always had a passion for math ever since I was in grade school. I began to find math interesting when I could start applying it to various subjects in the real world, such as distance, area, volume, and velocity, to name a few. I decided to pursue mathematics in college, but I added a vital part to it, teaching. In high school, I was lucky enough to tutor my fellow peers through a National Honor Society program. When tutoring students from various grades, classes, and ethnicities, I found my passion for teaching. Believe it or not, I really enjoyed the students that struggled immensely with a subject. Nothing was better than witnessing the “light-bulb moment” when the subject finally clicked for one of these struggling students. Currently, in college my decided majors are Secondary Math Education B.S. and Mathematics B.A.
I have a strong desire to pursue an education course during my time at university in 2018 as I believe primary schooling is an institution which is aligned with my core beliefs and values. I believe university has the ability to further my own personal development and will gift me the opportunity to complete core subjects which that will assist my understanding of education. Furthermore, I highly value the ethical grounding university provides its graduates with and I am aware that this is also highly valued by school employers.
I am the product of two cultures: African and Arab. I was born in the United Arab Emirates to Sudanese parents and married a first-generation American, and as such, I have had the advantage of being deeply immersed in otherwise distinct cultures and worldviews. Exceptional role models and unique personal insights have given me the desire to pursue medicine. Indeed, two of the most inspiring and influential people in my life have been my parents. Both have always stressed the benefits and values of solid education. My mother always said to me, “Knowledge and education equal emancipation, seek the gift of knowledge, it will make you a better person”. Her exemplary dedication and desire for excellence is what I hope to emulate. Moreover, pursuing medicine in particular was a cumulative decision I took over years of fascination with biological sciences.
One of my fondest memory as a little boy is a game we play outdoor called fish hunting, it is a game we play at holiday, We have nothing doing so we decide to go out to stream and river with our fishing net to catch small fish so we made a rule that anyone that catches the biggest fish will take all the fishes to market and sell, however the money realized from selling the fish will be shared according to the number of fish hunted by each person. The lesson about this game is how smart one needs to in the world of business.
experience that I will learn and take the education to my country. My country where I came from is well known for having a poor medical treatment. Yemen my country where success and passing a course is based on how much money you pay to your professor or teacher to pass a grade level, which explain why we have a very poor medical treatment that leads to a lot of death. Educational material such as books is very good source for education but unfortunately the teacher are not qualified to teach, because they didn’t get the education that required them to became a professional instructors. During the time I was in Yemen My family and I was concerned if I would attend my education in my home country with all the corruption of the education system if I don’t get a chance to get a better education outside my home country. One of my main reason to be a surgeon is the death of my people with poor medical treatment the pushes me toward my goal, and earn my medical degree, which I am in the middle of my journey to helping and honoring my country.
