Marketing Defined
Introduction
There are many definitions for Marketing. Marketing is based on an organizations need to promote their goods and/or services. After research of the definition of marketing one will find that marketing must be defined and look at individually, not as a whole.

Brian Norris has a thought that does just that. "To eat or not to eat. To share or not to share. To stay with your current supplier or choose another one with a better/more compelling offer. Marketing is not inherently good nor evil. It's all about who programs the machine.
In the hands of the small-minded fool, marketing has been used to hurt, lie, promote bigotry, and usurp the rights of other to live free and pursue happiness. In the hands of the well-intentioned, marketing is the bedrock upon which civilizations are built. A strong marketing machine is at the heart of every reform and revolution. As a personal definition, marketing is a strategy to promote consumer awareness and positive feelings towards a brand or product in order to encourage the consumer to purchase or use that product. Within the company, the marketing group has to consider customer values and customer satisfaction before considering offering a product. Marketing is part of our everyday world, and can be perceived everywhere and every time. At any time, everyone has been exposed to different kinds of marketing or advertising depending upon personal necessities such as T.V commercials, radio, internet, etc.
Marketing is the process by which companies create customer interest in products or services. Big companies spend millions of dollars on marketing to promote their products therefore, they use different marketing approaches and strategies. They send to many ads via mails, emails, and social media every day to encouraged people for buying their products. While as a consumer, it is hard to ignore all these advertisements since most of them put a lot of cool products or either nice offers which feel worthy buying it. Marketing is an essentially about marshalling the resources of the organization so that they can meet the changing needs of the customers on whom the organization depends. As a verb, marketing is all about how an organization addresses its markets. Marketing is “The management process which identifies, anticipates and supplies the customer requirements efficiently and profitability”.
When compared to economics, production and operations, accounting and other business areas, marketing is a relatively old and distinct concept. According to the American Marketing Association, marketing is “planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives” (Lusch 261). Led by marketing scholars from several major universities, the development of marketing was in large part motivated by the need to dissect in greater detail these relationships and behaviors existing between the sellers and consumers. This need to better understand these relationships and behaviors has truly developed the field of Marketing, ranging from the Old-School tactics used in the developmental stages of marketing, to the technological strategies using Television and other electronics of today’s generation, and even to tactics and strategies scholars believe Marketers will begin to use in the future.
Marketing is a concept that is fairly recent in origins. For the longest time, all it took for a company to succeed was to create a product that was superior to others and consumers would flock to make purchases. Eventually, due to the standardization of quality products, companies sought to brand themselves as a way for consumers to differentiate them from other companies. It no longer was good enough just to make a quality product, you had to convince the consumer that not only was your product better, but so was the company. In the 21st century, we have seen an explosion of marketing outlets, thanks to all the different forums and venues in which consumers migrate. Additionally, a deep and complex science of understanding the consumer and markets has come to fruition, in hopes of maximizing profits and outpacing competitors.
