I believe the best teachers continually seek to improve their teaching skills, preparation, and materials. After every class, I try to evaluate my performance by reflecting upon how well I presented materials to students, and how the students responded to my explanations and questions. Then I make notes for future reference. This self-evaluation helps me improve my teaching skills, teaching preparation, and teaching materials such as lecture notes and lesson plans. I should know how to inspire my learners and support learner’s needs. It is my duty to handle classroom, prepare lessons, prepare teaching materials, assess learners, identify needs, evaluate them and their delivery, maintain learners record of progress and facilitate learning. As a teacher, I have to be a proficient in the familiarity of my teaching areas, and be expert enough to be able to explain and teach them. As a former student, I recognise that I should training the techniques of teaching in order to advance my skills, however, if I get diverse and a lot of experience, it does not really matter because there are continuously new techniques developments, new ideas and new technologies out there for me to use and pick up to improve my future teaching. To guarantee I can find alternate pedagogies, I have to stay to involve in engaging skills and professional learning.
