NTRODUCTION: A free enterprise system provides opportunities for individuals to make their own economic decisions, without restrictions from the government. If your product isn't good enough to beat your competitors, then it isn't going to be successful in the nation's economy. Bill Gates has become the person he is today because the free enterprise system provided that. If our nation didn't go off of the free enterprise system, then the government could have controlled Bill Gates economic decisions, resulting in him not being the successful man he is.
