My Experience Nine weeks I’ve spent in this class, learning new techniques on studying, and learning new critical thinking strategies. Nine weeks that I’ve been in school again thinking and challenging myself and learning about a variety of new things. These last nine weeks have reminded me about the long term effects that higher education will have on my future employment and current job. This class has gave me so many tools that I can use in my everyday life. These last nine weeks have helped me get my mechanics back together academically I would say. I been out of school for about six months and I haven’t been reading, just working since I came out of school. Recently in class I relearned how to take Cornell …show more content…
I think that having a degree from University of Phoenix will greatly increase my chances of getting promoted because the school has a name for itself at several different companies. At my job alone we have 7 people that graduated from this school in the past year. I also think that with an education you’re more likely to have stability in the workplace, when there is a mass let go phrase, companies tend to keep their educated employees over noneduacated. The tools and assessments in from this course will help me in my future courses and jobs because one of the tools I learned was goal setting. Which will help me keep focus at the task at hand. I also Learned that its okay to learn different things, in an collaborative environment its okay to feed off each, but not steal each others ideas. Which in my current position at work ripping off peoples ideas is spreading like wildfire. Its like some people at my job have been biten by the copy bug. One of the most useful things I learned in this class was how to use the library. I think a lot us take it for granted because they don’t know how to use it. The library allows me to search for articles pertaining to any subject. Also the library tools such as the plagiarism finder, it checks your paper for any plagiarized material. Also the citiation tool is very helpful because it sites everything
In conclusion I really have learned a lot in this class and really has helped me to manage my time better
Before taking this course I was really excited about what I am going to learn. And I was right! This course is not only interesting but it is also helpful. I have learned that the grade I am having right now is the reflection of my try throughout the entire semester.
Also, I learned other things after this class. For example, one of the major thing that I did not know before this class is
Overall, I had a wonderful and insightful time learning in this class. When given the opportunity
The most I’ve enjoyed about this class, is my ability to understand several terms or math concepts that I did not completely understand, or learn (from my remembrance) in a mortal environment. Such as, order
This class has helped me understand so much more about myself and how I function on a daily basis. It opened my eyes to information I may have never known. The one things I enjoyed most about this class was learning about brain development and how each structure of the brain has its own function to how feel, move and think. It was very interesting to know that our brains are not fully developed until the age of twenty-five. The brain is the control center for how we survive and how we live our live.
"Inspired" by Roel P.'s blog post, "How to check plagiarism in work." Swing by his blog to check out posts like that because I definitely learned something new.
After reading over the course syllabus I believe this class has a lot to offer. I want to learn more about college to better myself when I begin my experience after high school. I believe this class can help me academically in high school as well. I’m hoping to improve my test-taking, studying, and note-taking
These resources include The University Library, The Center for Writing Excellence, and online books that are associated with each class. The University Library is one of the most important resources that are available to the students. This library has numerous search engines, databases, and multiple help features that make researching easy. The Center for Writing Excellence is also a valuable tool that ensures any student’s essays or papers integrity. There are two vital tools in The Center for Writing Excellence. One is the Plagiarism Checker and the other is the Writepoint. The Plagiarism Checker looks for similarities between previously written papers compared to any student’s paper that is submitted. This checker will detect plagiarism. The Writepoint is also a very important tool that helps any student find flaws in any paper that is submitted. These flaws could be anything from run-on sentences to improper use of punctuation. In addition to these exceptional tools are the online books that accompany each class. The online books are a very helpful and easy to access. They can be downloaded on any portable device or printed out for the student’s convenience. Proper use of these resources and tools will help make certain that any student has a chance of receiving a good grade.

Once graduated, high school students are pushed outwards on the road to independence. With their future open ahead, students all turn different directions to start their own lives. Some head towards universities, while others start work immediately. Though making money right away may seem beneficial; ultimately, those who have attended a university and graduated ¨are more likely to have jobs than those with only a high-school diploma” (Deruy). It is simple for really anyone with a high school diploma to find work, but a career to well support a family would be few and far between. The more education completed, the more the chances are increased of a well supportive career. When applying for jobs, employers review experience and levels of education completed. Often, the look of finalized college level classes reflects discipline and self motivation to employers. The number of well paid jobs offered to graduates is much larger than those who only completed high school. In fact, college graduates ¨earn a million dollars more over their lifetimes than non-graduates.” (Deruy). With the many costs of life, the time and effort put into college classes will be well worth the strain and stress in the long run.
What concepts, principles, or ideas that you have learned, do you think you will remember the most after you leave this class?

Though this course was a required component for my field of study, it’s one of the classes I was most excited to take.
Identifying plagiarism in today's times may not be an easy task to the untrained eye, as cutting and pasting from internet sites is as simple as two clicks on the mouse. Luckily, there are resources available to spot plagiarism in documents and note the source(s) where the information was obtained. This makes it very easy for teachers catch students in the act and deal with the problem before it gets too serious. These resources are again located online, with one of the best ones appearing at www.turnitin.com.
