Day 33: Claiming the Land "Let's go at once to take the land," he said.
"We can certainly conquer it!"
Numbers 13:30 (NLT)
God did not create us for the easy times. He did not breathe life into us for the times of peace and tranquility. These are our restful periods when we can re-group and regain our strength for the battles ahead. He created us for the messy periods, the turbulent times, and the crisis moments. Why?
Because these are the moments when all of the chess pieces are in midair and nothing is set in stone. These are the moments when we, as earthen vessels through which God can act in the world, have the greatest opportunity to affect the greatest change.
We have the chance not just to change the ending of the game, but to
When studying the Bible, it is important to understand its origins; for me, I I have become enlightened, but troubled after learning about the subject. I found the unit, as a whole, very important and a positive experience for me. But, with this comes much apprehension and confusion as to the strength of the Bible.
My first visit to Daybreak consisted mostly of learning about the facility and helping the girls work on their team building projects. When we first arrived, I begin to realize how serious the situation these girls are in is. I was told to put a lock on my phone and to not share too much information about myself. At first I was extremely nervous, but once we entered the common room with all the girls I started to feel more comfortable. These girls have been through more then I could ever imagine. I have been sheltered from drug abuse for most of my life and I never could have thought that girls so young could get caught up in hard drugs such as crack and heroin.
How I join the Army National Guard, was kind of crazy My friend name Rico campbell had told me he was about to join the Army National Guard and they were offering a $20,000 sign on bonus. I stated “do you know what we can do with all that money”. We Both went to a recruiter Name SFC (Sergeant First Class ) Tim Thomas he said “ what do you want out of life” both of us promptly replied “ I don't know”. I join The National guard that day but my Friend Rico nevered joined. After I join and Sign all the necessary paperwork SFC Thomas said “You are going to Iqra in may !”. At that time my heart dropped out of my body.
This is my 739th day on the island. My hair is past my neck and I have almost lost all hope of ever leaving here. I miss my family and am loosing my emotions. All that matters is surviving. If we do ever get rescued which I doubt, I know I will never be anything like the boy I used to be. My only freedom here is talking to Piggy. Even if I didn’t know him before the crash, I know I have made a brother I would be the biggest train wreck ever if I lost him. About 20 days ago Jack left the group and everyday there are less and less boys. But I’ll always have Piggy. I’m glad Jack isn’t doing anything bad. Day 740. We are doing a pretty good job of keeping it civil. Jack invited us to a barbecue today. . . it would be nice to eat meat
Thank you so much for your patiently waiting on this. I will defiantly consider you 30 day notice to be the day that you first were asking on the change in enrollment. Thankfully I do have the ability to make the care that you need flexible. At this time of year enrollment doesn’t tend to change much, so even if the contract is canceled, I am positive there will be spots available to Clara and Caden, whenever needed.
Hey guys. Sooo I just want to clarify some things before you guys get here. When we go to the day club the drinks there are going to be expensive as fuck. Almost everywhere in Vegas that serves alcohol is going to be expensive but thankfully I know how to avoid us spending a crazy amount of money on alcohol (besides the day club). Now going to the day club there will be a cover fee for Britt and for you guys. I know people who work at the day clubs and they said that they might be able to give you guys a discount but the guys cover fee will obviously be a little more expensive. And I'm almost certain that we won't have to pay a cover fee for when we go to the night club. Also, the air in my truck doesn't work and it's hot as shit outside so
It was a frigid February Sunday. In the suburbs of Washington DC, the weather is like an infant, no knowing what it will do. I began my day gloomy, as I have been for the past couple of days since the day Maa passed away. I raced the sun to see who could get ready quicker, and I won. My head felt quite cool for I forgot that my hair had nearly been shaved off. I had the taste of chocolate milk in my mouth from last night, the warm mug that my aunt gave me. My next challenge was to get around this labyrinth in my room to the bathroom. Instead of rustic walls, the walls consisted of guests laid across the floor, staying at our place for today.
One ‘mundane’ thing that I find marvellous is a day because my interactions are effecting people and showing who I am as a person. I have the power to learn about all sorts of things and finding out more about the world and how it works, giving me the chance to learn and create. Anyone can change in a day and can influence who someone become as a person, and a day gives anyone the power to influence anything. Although all the things that a single day can influence it can still be seen as mundane because there are so many days in a lifetime to a point where people get bored. The power that a ‘mundane’ day can give someone is crazy, I have the power to effect so many things in the present and I find that marvellous.
Looking at the numbers above, I immediately notice that there are different ages on the different planets. This brings up the question of how we define the time intervals we measure. What is a day? What is a year?
If you are like many people, you really do want to have a productive day, but your good intentions do not always work out the way you planned. A recent Search Engine Journal article talked about how work productivity is about building good habits into your workday. Here are just a few things you can do to make your workday more productive.
It was the perfect day to hang out with my friends since we were all so jubilant due to the enduring weekend that was approaching. Every week seems to pass slower and time ticks by until we are faced by summer causing us to be separated. The weekend was something all of my friends and I looked forward to. Whether it is playing football, talking, or just relaxing on the couch, we can always make a tedious day entertaining. It became more challenging to associate with my friends due to my parents having a strong disliking for some of them.
Pamela Sue Roberts July 7th, 1949 to April 11th 1995. It is one day before Easter, my oldest sister Pam sits down with us on the floor, cutting strips of construction paper, patiently teaching the art of Easter basket making. A mother, sister and friend describe Pamela, she was the mother; helped us dress, cleaned us up, tried her best to prepare us dinner when we had barely enough and our parents were absent. The first movie I have seen in color was Bambi. Pam, one day had taken me to watch a movie in the city, we walked a mile to catch the bus. I had no idea where she was taking me, needless to say, memorized is describing it lightly, and I sit quietly throughout the entire movie. This is my first experience in a movie house and let me share that moment; nothing around me existed, nothing, the color was like being in a 3-D setting.
My dad's perfect day will consist of a long night of sleep, because that’s the best way to start your day. “I will wake up around 11:45, from heaven,” according to my dad. Secondly, around 12:15 he will get up from his bed to go take a toilet break, like my dad says, “it might be weird, but it’s satisfying taking toilet breaks while reading the sports news on my phone.” In addition, around 12:30 he will have his breakfast , “I will choose some delightful warm coffee with some steak, you can never go wrong with those two things.”
Krista was exactly the definition of normal. She ate three meals a day and snacked in-between like you should. She got good grades like you should. She had some good friends and one best friend like you should. She had loving parents like you should. She was perfectly normal and she loved that.
See what I mean, this weekend went by horribly slow. We really need to do something about a Three day weekend. Students would get more sleep. We have more time to prepare for a possible test the coming monday. We´d have more time to do homework that was maybe assigned over the weekend. We would have so much more time to spend with our friends and family. The teachers would get more time to prepare for lessons throughout the week.
