Marketing its used by most business. Marketing is a process where a business finds the way to transmit a message to its consumers. The message every business wants their consumers to know is why they should choose their service or products instead of those of the competitors. Marketing it’s not just one thing, marketing is advertising, customer service, what they hear or see about the business, what they get from choosing you. People who are in charge of marketing should really be careful in the words they use or the way they will be trying to get consumers. With just one word or a doubtful action it could be enough to loose consumers.
One example of using the wrong words is that of the Chevy car name “Nova.” This car came out in 1962 the sales were good in the United States but when trying to take it the Latin market it did not go as good. First of all, “Nova” in Spanish is something like “it doesn’t go.” This would affect the market because people would refer to the car as something that does not work, just like the name says it. …show more content…

Even though it is saying “it doesn’t go” the people working behind the product worked hard to give their customers a good product and service. They were always ethical and about giving a good outcome of the car. When it comes down to making decisions and your job is on risk you have to make what best works for the business. Often unethical decisions are being made, as long as a company gets result they don’t always care about the strategies or tactics they had to used. When advertising a product or service I feel that the truth in that is also an oxymoron. For example, the advertisement to lose weight without exercising, or lose 6 pounds in one week are most likely to be false which is unethical because you are promising your client something that most likely won’t happen but those lines would get you the
