Changes In Middle School

This year has been going great so far, but I have several goals for this last year of middle school.

To move from an elementary school to a middle school it was a huge change. Such as, more people(from different elementary schools), meaner people, new friends, new teachers,lockers, and new school. I have changed in numerous ways. One way I have changed is that I know a lot more people and have let friends go. In addition, my days are a little “dull” and will fade into each other; if I didn’t have friends each day would be boring and like the others. Somehow, even with this dullness, my days are lot more stressful, what I mean is that you can have to type a two-page review on one chapter in five days, have to film a video, at the same time have to write a 10 page book with pictures on each page and if you are unlucky have to write a ton of code on your own. Like any other transition in your life, you encounter changes. It is fundamental to start something new. When you close a chapter in your life it includes having a plan in life and being assertive in your decisions. This school year is a lot more different than it was last year. People are a lot less immature, and teachers won't hold your hand all the way through the year. Teachers won't continue to yell at at students for not doing homework, or essays, because they're making their own path. There are many differences between the two.

Middle school is a hard transition for anyone, but when your entire life has revolved around routines a change like this can feel catastrophic. In 2011, I was in the 6th grade and we had to go to the High School building. As if school wasn’t bad enough we had to start learning how to adjust to being in the same school at the high schoolers and to deal with different teachers. It was scary I did not know my way around anything. I was intimated by the higher classmen but at least I was there with my best friend Jessey. She helped me through everything I struggled with the change.
