Hi Professor, I am Raven Ainsworth currently I am a manager for a respiratory department in a hospital setting. I have in the past had some experience with working closely with my IS support team in selecting, implementing, and using information technology at my organization. When the hospital decided to incorporate our electronic charting and electronic patient charts I had to work closely with IS to initiate our flowsheets and decide what information should be transfer into the electronic documents. We also have a close communication with our IS team if we have any technology issues for instance when our system go down or are closed for service maintenance. I remember from my IT class during my bachelor degree it opened my eyes to

“The Raven” is a magnificent piece by a very well known poet from the 19th century, Edgar Allan Poe. Poe was well known for his dark and haunting poetry. Along with writing poetry, Poe was also recognized for his Gothic-style short stories. “The Raven” is one of Poe’s greatest accomplishments and was even turned into recitals and numerous television appearances. “The Raven” tells a story about an unnamed narrator whose beloved Lenore has left him. A raven comes at different points throughout the poem and tells the narrator that he and his lover are “Nevermore.” Poe presents the downfall of the narrator’s mind through the raven and many chilling events. By thorough review and studying of Edgar Allan Poe’s work, one can fully understand the
Moving ahead to the middle of this course has me feeling confident in my ability to define computer terms in various business situations. In addition to this, the INFT124 class also helps me remember the names of basic computer parts and it also helps me competently explain how computers function. These activities also help me advance my computer knowledge, experience and competencies so I know how to complete challenging academic tasks.
“What? How can they do this to me? That’s my face and that’s my dress but that’s not my body,” defines the eighth episode of the second season of the early 2000’s show That’s So Raven. This episode disproves individual opportunity by showing that your body size can affect how you are treated and received as a professional and that you cannot be successful without being the correct size. I will prove individual opportunity is a myth by giving examples and statistics similar to those provided in this episode and by examining how many people can be considered successful or wealthy at a larger clothes size in comparison to those with a smaller size.
As a nursing house supervisor, my administrative duties require me to be able to navigate certain computer and software components. If I were the representative for my department I would describe the technology requirements that are needed to accomplish daily activities. Each day spreadsheets is prepared for staffing and organizational census. I have access to scheduling software that allows me to me facilitate staff each day. As health care has gone towards electronic health records, I have the ability to access the hospital databases to review patient records and physician orders. And of course word processing is used to send and create emails as well as additional job duty requirements.

I became interested in computers during the early 1990s and it happened right in my house. Within my community no one really knew what a "programmer" was or how to become one. At first, programmers were the engineers the circuits and processors. In April 1990, I volunteered to help my brother, a Computer Information Systems major at UTPA, to program the IBM-1401. I was 13-years old, had graduated from high school five years later, and decided to study the field of computers, specifically information technology (IT). In today’s high-tech world, virtually every business needs computer networking professionals to set up and maintain an in-office network (Irvine, 2011). This includes a variety of tasks such as engineering the network infrastructure, administering Windows systems and maintaining an email system (Irvine, 2011).
I have been employed as a Clinical Systems Analyst at Harbor UCLA since Late January 2009. Since my start I have been involved in addressing the needs of the Hospital Radiology Department. I was mainly tasked with identifying issues related to patient care and how IT systems support and address those issues. Many times it was the lack of properly implementing current systems and having qualified personnel available to address issues as they arrived.

The information technologies management team oversees the application of computers and telecommunications equipment to store, retrieve, transmit and manipulate data at Stryker. Today the organization is becoming more and more dependent on technology, so a team member like Alberto Vera has the ability to make decisions concerning such technologies and can make the company more viable and efficient. The software, programming, database, networking, web, and hardware specialists make it possible for Stryker to transfer online data efficiently. And anyone that can increase organizations efficiency can also derive power from this expertise.
Few companies today can exist without an IT department. The IT department contains many of the company’s technology experts. Almost all companies rely on computers to some degree whether it is an international conglomerate or a small startup company. Some companies are very dependent on computer systems while others use them only for accounting for payrolls and everyday computer tasks. Most organization, even the smallest company have people whose job is to make sure that the computer system is up and running or an emergency contact to call when the computer systems goes down. In the future, I want to take the head of a database administrator of an IT department whether the size of the company is small or enormous.
Mr. Young should look into establishing a permanent staff position for an Information Systems (IS) manger. This managerial position would task the individual with the responsibility of handling the Clarion-Milwaukee’s information system networks, personal computers, and telephone (PBX) systems. In addition, for future updates and upgrades, the IS manager will be able to evaluate and implement training needs and voice them to Mr. Young.
