Many people always ask themselves if college is worth it and if it is then why. Sure there are positives and negatives of attending college, but which outcome will be better suited for you and your development. In any case, going to college is the right choice because it not only gives you a higher paying job, but also growth as a human being. The biggest plus to going to college is that it matures you into being an adult, so why skip out on an opportunity that will change your future!
In the first place, college will pay off for itself once you graduate. Attending college won’t always be so expensive with the help of financial aid. Attending a Liberal Arts Education will help in the developments in critical inquiry resulting in “continuing learning, for making decisions in one’s life, and for making a difference in the world,” as stated in the article by Michael Roth. (Source B) After graduation from a liberal education, it will help to “address problems and potential in our lives with passion, commitment and a sense of possibility” for years to come. Liberal education opt for your own freedom to construct on individual research and carry on your experience to your community. It was recorded in the national survey by Pew Research that 74% of people who graduated four-year college say it helped them grow intellectually; 69% said useful for the improved growth and maturity learned in college; and 55% say it was very useful in helping them prepare for a job or career.
