One of the biggest controversies with the advancement of artificial intelligence is the debate on job automation. Many people believe that artificial intelligence will advance to become better than humans and replace humans in most jobs. The opposite belief is that AI will be used to improve the standard of living and will be a tool to support humans, not replace them. Job automation has many benefits such as performing more dangerous jobs and complete tasks that humans do not desire to do. Even though job automation has benefits, there are many people who believe robots will take over the job market and the unemployment rate will skyrocket. There are multiple supporting factors for each side of the job automation debate, but the argument will never be settled until AI is further advanced and utilized.

Rising unemployment is also another serious impact while using robots widely. Unemployment means demand for labor is less than the supply of labor, so there is an increasing proportion of workforce seeking work. Robots are usually major problems that are associated with it. It was reported that due to the increasing acceleration in automatic technology, over 5 million Australians lose their jobs, and it is projected to be at risk more than two decades (Hoy, 2014). Individuals who lose occupations must take time and effort to find another suitable one, but it is usually difficult because of the rapid technological changes. An example of artificial intelligence is Watson, this program can answer questions, Watson was featured in a jeopardy game along with two former winners, Watson did, in fact, win first place with one million dollars, but Watson was only given three clues to solve the question, the program was not connected to the internet. The program quickly outsmarted his opponents, but had trouble in other categories, meaning that the program beat human intelligence on the post topic. Artificial Intelligence will become a superintelligence because of the progress rate, unstoppable singularity, and brain improvement.

One of the fastest growing areas in human civilization is technology, specifically computing systems and engineering. A field in computer science known as artificial intelligence is becoming more advanced and is excelling as technology expands. AI is run by long lines code that operates the functions of the machine and databases to store information. The modern concept of AI originates from philosophers that tried to explain the processes and function of the human brain. The modern idea of AI was formed during a research proposal in 1956 at Dartmouth College(Zhongzhi 2). Since then, many researchers have attempted to understand and further the development of artificial intelligence. As research progresses, the use of AI will expand to many industries and areas of life.

For example, with the help of artificial intelligence, doctors can be able to diagnose a patient faster than ever or even foresee which beds are occupied or not.

Impossible to achieve in expert systems, this ability to learn by example is the characteristic of neural networks that makes them best suited to simulate human behavior. Figure 1 illustrates the knowledge structures of neural networks as compared to expert systems and standard computer programs. Those are some examples of what AI could lead to but that is not exactly it. The idea of intelligent machines go back to Greek mythology. The origin of AI can be described as philosophers who tried to explain human thinking as a significant system. However, the field of Al wasn’t properly found until 1956, in a conference in Dartmouth College in New Hampshire where the term Al was first used. Since then Ideas have been exchanged and introduced through literature and recently movies. Living with such intelligence will transform our lives and remodel the way we live.

Intelligence is the potential to gain and use knowledge and skills. Therefore, artificial intelligence is the development of computer systems to potentially gain and use knowledge and skills in their environment and surroundings.
