EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Our Passion & Mission Statement: To make the world a safer place by providing a breakthrough personal protection devicefor individuals to use in their daily lives. \ Problem Identification: In the United States in 2015, there were nearly one million Aggravated Assault and Rape incidents. Assaults can result in death or psychological, emotional, and physical effects for survivors. Self-defense products such as mace sprays and personal tasers have been on the market for decades but have made a small impact on reducing crime and aid in helping arrest criminals. Solution & Product Description: Artemis is an innovative personal protection device that uses sound and light to disable an attacker that is also equipped with a 360 degree camera and smartphone connectivity to instantly alert friends and family when an attack occurs. We are confident Artemis will effectively deter assaults and identify criminals because of its unique combination of features and ease-of-use. Customer Segments: We will introduce Artemis in the United States geo- graphic market in 2018. In our first year we will target women and men ages 18-40. Our high tech product is designed for an active, on-the-go, tech enthusiast looking to expand their ability to protect themselves. Business Model: Revenue- Artemis costs $50 per unit. Artemis will be sold online on Artemis.com and on Amazon Prime. The Artemis app will be available on all app stores free with purchase of Artemis. Profit- Artemis costs $16 to build per unit, $10 to sell on our website, and $18 to sell on Amazon. Assuming a 50/50 sales split between our site and Amazon, our average profit per unit is $20. Sales and Marketing: We are looking to gain press coverage on Good Morning America to raise awareness about our product. We also hope to augment more promotion for Artemis through various Social Media platforms. Specifically, YouTube-where there will be instructional videos for our product. For every purchase, $1 will be donated to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization that helps survivors recover, improves public policies, and educates the public. Partnering with RAINN helps us ensure impact with Artemis and the prevention and awareness of sexual violence. Projected Financials: At the end of 2018, sales will generate $5M in revenue, and $2M in profit.
