Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (Chalk and Wire)

In the era of digital transformation, cloud computing has revolutionized the way organizations manage their IT infrastructure and applications. As organizations transition to cloud-based deployments, it significantly influences their Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies. Cloud deployment introduces several benefits for Business Continuity Plans
in a cloud platform it offers redundancy and high availability across geographically distributed data centers, minimizing the risk of single points of failure and enhancing resilience against disruptions. This redundancy helps to prevent data loss or service interruptions in the event of hardware failures, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances (Wiggins et al., 2024). loud-based applications and data can be accessed from any location with internet connectivity, enabling remote work capabilities and ensuring business operations can continue even in the face
of physical disruptions or emergencies. Some of the advantages that Disaster Recovery in the Cloud offers are cost efficiency and rapid recovery. Cloud-based DR solutions eliminate the need
for organizations to invest in and maintain dedicated secondary data centers, reducing capital expenditures and operational costs associated with traditional DR infrastructure. The ability to quickly recover from a disaster reduces financial losses and prevents business disruptions (UTILITIES ONE, 2023). Faster recovery times by leveraging virtualization and snapshot technologies, allowing organizations to restore critical systems and data more swiftly in the event
of a disaster or outage is a huge advantage. Assess the cloud provider's backup frequency and data replication capabilities to ensure that your RPO objectives are met (UTILITIES ONE, 2023).
While cloud deployment enhances BC and DR capabilities, organizations must address several challenges and considerations with on challenge being that organizations must ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards when migrating sensitive

When we carefully analyse the benefits of Community cloud and Hybrid cloud, there are similarities at the same time subtle differences.
This includes that community clouds and hybrid clouds share similar concerns in terms of security.
Examine critically comparing (similarities) and contrasting (differences) the benefits of community cloud and hybrid cloud.
What are the similar concerns in terms of security, Identify them?
Critique these concerns and recommend the considerations that could be made to overcome them explaining in your own words.(300-400)

An organization debating whether to install a private cloud or to use a public cloud (e.g., the AWS)
for its computational and storage needs asks for your advice. What information will you require to
come to your recommendation, and how will you use each one of the following items? (a) The
description of the algorithms and the type of the applications the organization will run; (b) the
system software used by these applications; (c) the resources needed by each application; (d) the
size of the user population; and (e) the relative experience of the user population; and (f) the costs

Global Unified Technology Sales (GUTS) is moving toward a “bring your own device” (BYOD) model for employee computing. Employees can use traditional desktop computers in their offices. They can also use a variety of personal mobile computing devices such as tablets, smartphones, and laptops. The new computing model introduces some security risks that GUTS is attempting to address. The company wants to ensure that any devices connecting to their servers are properly registered and approved by the Information Technology department. The business requirements are attached.
Given the attached business requirements, create the complete Crow’s Foot ERD containing all primary keys, foreign keys, and main attributes. Use specialization hierarchy if appropriate. This ERD is the initial database blueprint. Use the normalization procedures to remove any possible data redundancies. This process may produce additional entities. If additional entities are created, revise the ERD created in previous…

As we design our new SIM system, I was thinking about the news of the two new
future stores. Then, I started thinking about scalability. How scalable do we need
our new system to be? What system requirements should we add with regards to
scalability issues?
Furthermore, how do you think we should set up our computer network? Is there a
topology that you think would be most appropriate for AW? Do you think we need
online processing or do you think batch processing would be adequate? So many
questions still to answer!
Let me know your thoughts on these issues.
