Delicias (de-LEE-see-ahs), city (1990 pop. 87,412), Delicias municipio, Chihuahua, N Mexico, in irrigation area of Conchos R. valley, on RR, and 45 mi/72 km SE of Chihuahua; 28°10'N 105°30'W. Elev. 3,842 ft/1,171 m. Important agr. region, dams at La Boquilla on the Conchos R. and at Francisco I. Madero on San Pedro R. have enabled great irrigation development. Cotton-growing center, wheat, grapevines. Also known as Ciudad de Delicias.
