| Ammonoosuc River (am-muh-NOO-sik) or Lower Ammonoosuc River, c.55 mi/89 km long, NW N.H.; rises in White Mts. at Mt. Washington in S Coos co.; flows generally W past Littleton, then SW past Lisbon to the Conn. R. at Woodsville. Wild Ammonoosuc R. rises in Kinsman Notch in N central Grafton co.; flows c.15 mi/24 km NW to the Ammonoosuc R. at Bath. |
