Beckwourth Pass, mt. pass (c.5,212 ft/1,589 m), extreme SE Lassen co., E of Plumas co. line, NE Calif., across the Sierra Nevada E of Sierra Valley, c.25 mi/40 km NW of Reno, Nev. Was route of an emigrant trail in 1850s. Beckwourth village (10 mi/16 km W of Pass) and Beckwourth Peak (7,250 ft/2,210 m) are W. Formerly spelled Beckwith. State Highway 70 passes through.
