| Beaver Lake, Carroll co., NW Ark., on the White R., 12 mi/19 km ENE of Rogers; c.50 mi/80 km long; 36°25'N 93°50'W. Extends SW into Benton and Washington cos. Max. capacity of 1,952,000 acre-ft. Formed by Beaver Dam (218 ft/66 m high), built (1963) by the Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and the generation of hydroelectric power. |
