| Costa Alegre (KOS-tah ah-LE-grai), region, Jalisco, Colima, Mexico; name for the Pacific Coast between Puerto Vallarta on W and Manzanillo on E; developed during the 1970s as one of the country’s premier tourist centers, the coast is dotted with upscale beach resorts. Mexico Highway 200 serves the area and there is commercial air service between Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta. |
