Chapulhuacán (chah-pool-wah-KAHN), town (1990 pop. 2,472), Hidalgo, central Mexico, in foothills of Sierra Madre Oriental, on Inter-Amer. Highway 85, and 21 mi/34 km NE of Jacala; 20°59'N 95°54'W. Corn, rice, sugar, tobacco, fruit. Picturesque Indian settlement.
