| Brownwood, Lake, reservoir (11 sq mi/28 sq km), Brown co., central Texas, on Pecan Bayou, 60 mi/96 km SE of Abilene; 31°50'N 99°00'W. Max. capacity 448,200 acre-ft. Formed by Lake Brownwood Dam (120 ft/37 m high), built (1933) for water supply; also used for recreation. Lake Brownwood State Park on W bank. |
