Brady, town (1990 pop. 5,946), McCulloch co., central Texas, on Brady Creek, c.70 mi/113 km ESE of San Angelo; 31°07'N 99°22'W. (Elev. 1,670 ft/509 m). RR junction; trade, shipping, processing center of agr., in cattle-ranching region. Ships cotton, wool, mohair, peanuts, wheat. Mfg. (combed mohair and wool, oil rigs, foundry sand, and silica flour). Brady Reservoir to W. Settled c.1876, inc. 1906.
