Granite Peak (GRA-nit) (12,799 ft/3,901 m), in S Mont., highest point in Mont., in Beartooth Mts. c.50 mi/80 km SE of Livingston, NE of Yellowstone Natl. Park. Grasshopper Glacier 4 mi/6.4 km to SW, in Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area, on boundary of Gallatin and Custer Natl. forests.
