| Branch River, 10 mi/16 km long, N R.I.; formed near Oakland by junction of Pascoag and Clear rivers; flows NE, furnishing water power at Oakland, Glendale, Nasonville, Slatersville, and Forestdale, to Blackstone R. at Mass. state line, just NW of Woonsocket. Dam at Slatersville forms Slatersville Reservoir (c.3 mi/4.8 km long). |
