Berkeley Springs, town (1990 pop. 735), Morgan co., NE W.Va., in Eastern Panhandle, 18 mi/29 km NW of Martinsburg. Health resort (since colonial days) with mineral springs, within Berkeley Springs State Park. RR-spur terminus. Agr. (grain, apples); cattle; poultry. Mfg. (furniture, sporting goods, bottled water; printing and publishing, silica processing). Glass-sand pits; lumbering. Cacapon State Park to SW; Widmeyer Wildlife Management Area to W; Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area to E; state fish hatchery at Ridge to S.
