Brule River (BROOL), c.40 mi/64 km long, Wis.; rises in Brule Lake, in Iron co., Michigan. Enters the Menominee R. NW of Iron Mt., Mich. Forms Wis.-Mich. state boundary its entire length, from its exit from L. Brule to its confluence with Paint R. 3 mi/4.8 km N of Florence to form the Menominee R., which continues SE to Green Bay of L. Michigan, also forming state boundary. Ottawa Natl. Forest to N, Nicolet Natl. Forest to S.
